that is not so much better than 7900gs.ati names desktop and laptop versions equally.but nvidia laptop cards cannot be compared with their desktop counterparts.the 9600gt is never comparable to a desktop 9600gt not even near.it may better than an 8400gs desktop card.hell that card is ranked far below ati 4650 in notebookcheck.net.but in desktop 9600gt is the better one

hey slig0,we all know that i7 and p2 have good architecture.but that doesnt mean a core 2 quad running at 2.8 ghz is a weak processor.i know you are an intel basher but this is too much.even in the amd website phenom 2's are compared only to core 2 quads and not core i7s. i have seen in many posts about you complaining about the performance of your ati-amd combination rig.but guess what, i have a friend with a core 2 quad at 3.06ghz maxing out crysis warhead at 1920.1200 with aa and still getting an average fps of 70-75.just becaus they dont have an imc doesnt make core 2 quad the weakest .yes it is weaker than the p2 but not that much and the highest end quads will give the p2's a run for their money.and from where i live intel core i7is actually cheaper than amd phenom 2 965.i have seen you jumping into threads and bashing intel processors.such a fanboy.and as a final note if you manage to hit 3.6ghzthat will be a huge performance leap

if you have a core 2 duo it will handle most games at low-medium settings and low resolutions
