@scadkin: But you did waste your time and emotions typing this out. Whinger. I'm not a fan of Halo at all...hell, I don't even have an Xbox One, because there was no compelling reason to get one back then, and there still isn't. What good would it do them to "come out of hiding take your verbal beating in a public panel of some sort"? Would that address all the grievances that you had with the game?
@banhammer: Did you feel for PS folks when they released Sunset Overdrive exclusively on Xbox platform? :) I ask that very light-heartedly, please take it as such.
Honestly, Sunset Overdrive was one of the games that almost made me consider buying an Xbox One. Kinda glad I didn't bother.
@Atzenkiller: If you're trying to justify the value of a $60/year sub, and genuinely concerned about "having an extra $ per month to spend on things you care about" you should really reconsider your hobbies. Because, spending money on gaming doesn't sound like something you should be doing.
You'll get a Giant Gold Crown for doing this quest also...it's DAMN fun! I couldn't stop laughing when I got into the quest, at how big this mofo was! It was hilarious funny to fight him. Though I'm not sure why. Good times continue to be had in this game at 336 hours played. I'm looking forward to the Spring Blossom event to kick off...only because I'm having a tough time getting some Crowns for some monsters. Dang RNG! :)
I really hope they introduce DLC that opens up a new area and introduces a suite of monsters. I wouldn't be surprised if they charged money for it though.
@zmanbarzel: Exactly. I guess this person doesn't realize that they are "opting in" when they enter gamespot.com into their browser and hit Enter. If you don't like it, don't visit the site. Simple enough.
I just read the review on GQ's website (UK version) and am really excited for the game! The headline scared me a bit calling out SimCity. After reading it, I'm now wondering if it's going to be a similar game mechanic as Dark Cloud games, which I really enjoyed.
Definitely a day one purchase for me, and I'm looking forward to playing it!
@ninnymugginz: To be fair, I think the first one was 'highly revered and rated' based on Studio Ghibli's involvement and the artistic aspects of the game. From a gameplay perspective, I think people were much kinder in their ratings, simply because of the artistic component.
I, personally, loved the first one as well, but my love of the game came from the story side of it and an "association" with it. In talking with a number of friends that tried it, they said that the gameplay was hard to "accept" and found it quite boring.
I just wish they would introduce a method to filter/query the Investigations. They need a method to filter on Creature, Creature Type (Fanged, Flying Brute, etc) and on Locale (Forest, Wastes, Coral, etc). This would make deletions a bit easier as well, which becomes very tedious to manage.
