@Nyrex actually it is nothing like saying i want to buy a Ferrari without wheels. the ferrari wont drive without wheels while the PS4 can certainly let me play my games and everything else without a camera.

who says the camera was always meant to be an integral part? Sony did not even mention it in their reveal event. It was always mentioned in passing and still is. a secondary accessory, nothing more.

@Nyrex whether they dropped the price last minute or had planned it all along doesn't matter. that is how strategy works.

what matters is that their system is $100 less and does not make the camera a mandatory purchase.

@Lordcrabfood @outlawoftorn well if you have the capability to provide those features on your console too then it would be foolish not to.

if an idea is so easy to copy in such little time then its not really that great an idea.

thats the way you do it. just quietly integrate these secondary features. you should not introduce them as the primary reason to buy your console, like MS did.

@Skele7or exactly. they so proudly announced assassins creed 2 as a free game at E3 as if it was such a huge favor MS was doing to gamers. they even paused for a bit expecting great applause.

i think we have already seen the extent to which motion control can be used in gaming and it has been widely rejected by most gamers.

at the end of the day...no matter how awesome a game you will make for the kinect....waving your arms around and doing physical gestures just does not gel with hardcore console gaming.

given that, it was a grave mistake by MS to invest so much into the kinect 2. if they weren't able to show a useful demo after all that time and money was spent on it then there won't be a kinect selling game in the future as well.

rainbow six vegas? i mean seriously...you can get that for 1 dollar no kidding....if your going to do a promotion at least make it a worthy promotion....
