the name might not be making much of a difference, but it still is an awful name.

What does the phrase Wii U even mean?

they needed a name that clearly differentiated the console from the Wii, so that people understand its an upgrade and not just the addition of a tablet.

well the kinect is also innovative same as the wii u gamepad.

the problem remains: you have to show consumers what that innovation means and how it enhances gameplay.

they should focus on that first before they spend millions on making these things.

@TristanPR77 whoa. there must be an even starker difference in the european market which is why MS was forced to offer free fifa.

@deathcon4 obviously nothing beats getting a free game. but it would have been a bigger deal if the consoles were equal in price.

even factoring in the price of that game still makes the xbox one more expensive. that is why people are not that impressed....not to mention they only offer it in one region.

@darkseagull we really do not know if sony was going to charge the same with the eye. those were all just rumors and myths.

in the end sony is offering something substantially cheaper and microsoft has not been able to demonstrate how kinect will enhance gameplay.

@darkseagull the cost is the biggest factor. it is a full hundred dollars more just because there is an accessory in there which I do not intend on using...ever.

its the fact that you are forcing people to buy this useless accessory. (it is useless for me at least)

@jayjay444 @Xristophoros thats true but you also have to consider that buying the PS4+Fifa is still $40 (or the equivalent euros) cheaper than the xbox one.

hence, MS might have to drop the price a bit too.

the form factor looks a bit weird. it seems it will be hard get used to using those controls in a tablet form rather than a hinge.

not sure how good this is. why remove the hinge?
