A wired XBox 360 controller will plug into your PC and work just fine. You may have to go to microsoft.com and find a driver for it or you may not I've had mixed results with different XP system in vista it just works.

Yes its a good game if your into First person RPGs, I didn't have the bug problems mentioned by many people but that doesn't mean there not there. My system must just be very close to what they did stability testing on.

Yes your right, but if hes running XP he may be better of spending money on a Nvdia 7950. Nvidia just has better drivers in XP. If hes planning on switching to Vista anytime soon and wants DX10 he should consider an ATI solution. ATI has way better vista drivers. The DX10 parts from ATI can be had online now also. Its all about the Drivers a few frames different on equivilant cards is not a big deal. The 8800 series still has driver problems last time I checked in both OSes But they are improving.

The NVidia SLI connector comes with the Motherboard. The connector is motherboard specific. If you dont have one check with the computer manufaturer or motherboard manufacturer to get it.

yeah and the gay thing is i dont think i can get a new video card for some reason like my laptop cant get video upgradesDrummerShane12

Its a laptop you probably need to go to the manufactures website to get a drive alot of times NVidias drivers from ther website do not work on laptops. Bad news is most laptop manufactures dont offer many driver upgrades either. You need a tower to game.

[QUOTE="pcdebol"]I would probably downgrade the power supply a 550 should run everything your getting then use the difference to upgrade the CPU. Next gen video cards are supposed to have a new connector that will make your power supply obsolete anyway. LordEC911

Not really, Corsair will send you an 8pin pci-e connector all you have to do is contact CS and pay the shipping. Anyways, no midrange to low highend GPU is going to need an 8pin pci-e connector if you have a PCI-e 2.0 mobo.

An 8800GTX only requires a 450 watt PS so if the guy could save 40 dollars on the Power supply and get a better processor his machine will perform better. The next gen graphics cards could obsolete all kinds of power supplys and a CPU would help his performance more than anything else he could afford to upgrade. So the next time he upgrades he will probably have to repalce the power supply again anyway why waste the money for overkill now when you could use the money for performance that will be seen . A core 2 6600 is only 40 dollars more. 300 mhz faster.

You will have to go to nvidias web site if you don't beleive me the link is to long to post. Just go to support and search power requirements.

Raid really doesn't speed you up where you want it to anyway. Games don't load any faster and boot times slow down. Your motherboard only supports RAID on the SATA ports so you would have to buy two hard drives to do it anyway.

Sounds like a SATA drive go into the bios under sata options and tell it to detect as IDE(not sure thats what it says but don't detect as raid controller) if you have xp sp2 it should see the drive now. If you don't have Xp Sp 2 heres how to make a slipstream disk. http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/winxp-sp2-bootcd.html
