I have a problem with that. Holocaust deniers should be disregarded as nonsensical idiots, but not labeled as criminals.
I agree with you to an extent. The reason being is that Holocaust Denial will almost certainly lead to other, more sinister actions, including vandalism, assualt or even murder. Just a few months ago, after a Neo Nazi rock concert in Russia, 8 people were stabbed. So yes I agree that imprisoning Holocaust Deniers is wrong but what a percentage of those deniers do is worse. I believe education coupled with political opposition to deniers (Eg: there was a debate between David Irving and a holocaust survivor) is a more productive solution.
I'm starting to think that my statement about jailing Holocaust deniers is a little extreme. Education along with political opposition seems better. Why do you have to jail people when you can just make them look like an idiot with simple logic?
[QUOTE="peregrine93"]Anyone who denies the Holocaust is a real idiot. You know the quote "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it"? You cannot learn from a part of history if you deny that it happened. Since the Holocaust was probably one of the biggest mistakes mankind has ever done, Holocaust Denial makes me really angry.

thats the worst idea ive ever heard. you just stepped all over everything america stands for. even if I dont agree with what people say, I think everyone should have the right to say anything that comes to mind. If you dont like that then move to france or something
I'm just saying it's kinda dangerous. Killing millions of people because of their race and/or religion is worse than jailing people for believing in something isn't true.

I'm not suprised you said that. I have a weird sense of humor.
@ Messer_Partei:
Your prediction sounds more reasonable.
[QUOTE="peregrine93"]How is it the parents fault? Any parent would do the same thing if the child is misbehaving and/or their grades aren't up. He was possibly mentally ill, but also could have trying to get attention somehow which means there could have been a chance that no mental illnesses were present at all. It's all the parents fault. If they didn't try to replace video games with parenting, the kid would still be alive. They would have been able to get his grades up, limited his time on the computer, and possibly identified and treated mental illnesses. Video game related deaths often have a mentally ill person doing the killing. Their mental illness is not treated due to the faults of their parents and other adults around them. The video games they play are just innocent plastic discs with very small pits on them.

Give multiple sources that prove your theory that you post here to be true or we will rip it apart. Also, prove any "legal" orders you give us to be legal. And don't post anything X rated - it's not allowed here.

If the parents weren't stupid enough to use the computer as a parenting substitute in the first place, the kid would still be alive. He would probably would have realized there was a life outside of video games and got his grades up. As for the attention thing, if the parents gave him the attention he wanted instead of giving him video games, he wouldn't of killed himself.
I'm just saying, if they gave him attention instead of games, he wouldn't misbehave and get bad grades, therefore not commiting suicide.

I have an even better idea. let's stop arguing about when the apocalypse happens and try to eliminate all of the possible threats to our existence. That way, humanity gets to live longer with a better quality of life and no people talking about our upcoming (and unlikely) doom in 2008/2012/2029/2036.
BTW I made a sig out of the placement of this thread relating to another one...
