@Banefire76 I wasn't complaining about the game being difficult. I like a challenge. I was complaining that when I tried to complete the quest by thinking out of the box the game didn't allow me to because of the bugged AI of the NPC I was escorting.Now if you think that's a good game, then by all means play it. But you're a fine example of the kind of easily lead complete moronic idiot that is the reason games developers can get away with releasing shit like this. They know some idiots are going to like it.
@horizonwriter I had the original version but traded it. I was hoping the Dark Arisen version would have done something to fix the broken game that the first one was, but nope... I realise Bitterblack was an expansion for higher level players, I just didn't expect the game to lead me straight there as soon as I started.
@Atomic_Gumshoe Well that's the story the developers and the reviewers want you to believe, but gamers these days are so easily lead that developers and publishers can sell almost anything. You could re-release the Atari 2600 ET and say it's programmed that way because just a different way of making a game, when in actuality the reason it's designed that way is because it's bloody shite!
Gearbox are a poor development house anyway. Their only other games of note are from the Borderlands series, and they're a steaming turd pile as well...
I don't get why @Kevin-V , seems to think Dragon's Dogma is such a great RPG. I personally think it's a fine example of what should be a great RPG, except it's obviously been designed by a complete idiot. One of the first things the game did after I'd made a character, is come up with a message saying "If stuck where to go next, follow the blue marker", so I do and it leads me directly to Bitterblack Island, the hardest part of the game suitable only for characters level 50 or above... Really poor game design. Once I got back from Bitterblack, I got to the captial city and then found that I needed to spend the next few hours griding levels just to get any further... If I wanted griding I would have played World of Warcraft... Another poor excuse for an RPG ><
@LaStOfThE @peteuplink Actually they didn't cover the subject. What that one was was a big advertisement for Codemasters latest mess. Crammond made 4 of the best F1 games ever to appear on PC, and I'd like to hear his opinions on the current state of F1 gaming now that realism and accuracy are no longer the driving force.
8.0 and you're saying it's intentionally bad because it's designed to be humourous... Things really have changed since I was a reviewer. If I'd reviewed this it would probably have gotten a minus score,
An over rated borefest, designed just to make money for no return, made by an over rated developer who made a couple of good games (Populous, Dungeon Keeper) and has struggled to reach that level again ever since.
