A few minutes or hours ago when my dad and little brother went to Walmart to buy a bike and my mom was at the kaikon (our church) and I was asleep, someone broke into our house. They parked an old gray truck beside our backyard wall, climbed over, and busted through a stuck door in my parent's room. The shame is, is that not only is this the third time we've been robbed, but we have an alarm system and could have caught the thieves this time. But my dad, again, didn't turn it on because he would only be gone for a few minutes.
They took my mom's jewelry, including her engagment ring that was bought by my deceased paternal grandma to replace the stolen original.
I feel bad because we were robbed, and the fact that if I had awoken when the thieves were in the house... well, I'm a girl, so immediately, I was in danger. This is b*llsh*t. Just because I'm a teenage girl, I was in immediate danger.
I was up till two in the morning and woke up around 11, a few minutes ago. I didn't hear anything because I'm a very deep sleeper. I can sleep through thunderstorms without knowing it and the rest of my family is awake.
The cop that came said that this is the USA and stuff like this shouldn't happen. That's BS. There's crime everywhere in this country. I swear, I'm starting to seriously consider moving to Japan. They are much nicer and smarter than Americans.

I think I get it now. Remember what Aang said, that he was running away from his feelings for Appa that entire time. Being cold and angry. I think when he said "its made me remember how I feel about Appa... and you". I think he was apologizing for his coolness towards Katara and not admitting his romantic feelings towards her.

I am... dissappointed with SOTFN. Oh the shame, the shame of it all. Yeah, seriously, people, I did not like it all that much.

Serpent's Pass
The intro scene was off and Katara looked ugly (no offense). Tahn, Ying, and Tahn's Sister/ Daughter just popped up out of nowhere. So did Jet. Their introductions were poor. Suki and War Minister Quin had noticeable voice changes. Suki being added was a bad idea since it was only for one episode. At the end, she just left. Just like that. Aang admitted his feelings for Katara, and all she did was smile softly and hug him. I could see how she could misinterpret what he said. After all, he was saying that he felt the same way about her as he did Appa. Not exactly, but pretty close. This episode lacked the feel of a typical Avatar episode or TV movie.

The Drill
Interesting. But... Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee just popped up out of nowhere. Katara acted like a know-it-all bratty little sister here. The fight scenes were awesome and all, but the episode lacked the feel of a typical Avatar episode or TV movie. And there was no secret that could change everything. Nick just wanted to build up the suspense. They should have given the name of "Secret of the Fire Nation" to when the solar eclipse occurs.

Yeah. This TV movie was poorly made. Nick made us excited for a very lame secret.

Wow, do I feel embarrased. There was no special scene with Katara looking incredibly beautiful, if anything, she looked ugly. No offense people, but Katara looked ugly with her hair wavy like that. Like those long eared dogs with wavy hair and big eyes. Sorry for freaking out about rumours about that scene. It turns out, there was nothing special. I feel really stupid now. But Katara acted like a know-it-all bratty little sister in this movie. Which, in a sense, she is. Toph was left out. And Aang admitted his feelings to Katara, and she was like "okay, I'll smile and hug you".

I'm 14 years old and I want to make an Avatar fansite. But, I don't have money to use to keep a site up using site hosts that demand payment. I could I suppose, but I don't know how too. I need to find a hosting service that will allow to me to make a site for free and has good tools for it. Or, I at least need to know how to pay to use a host service. Please help.

I heard that the next Nick magazine would be soley dedicated to Avatar, featuring goodies, info, and images galore. Problem is, is that I don't get Nick magazine and don't want to get it. So, if anyone gets it, can they post the pages on the internet. I know it sounds weird, but I think some sites might do it. I really want to know what is in the mag.

I never paid much attention to the Crocodile Hunter, all I knew was that he hunted down animals, wrestled with them, and made documentaries about those creatures. But he didn't harm them, hunting the creatures was only for fun. I don't approve of doing those things, but the guy made learning fun for us.
Of all the ways for Steve Irwin to go, it was being stabbed in the heart by a stingray barb. He was only in his 40's too. I don't know much about the guy, but I'm still sad to know that such an influential person is gone.
We will miss you Steve Irwin.

I wrote a complaint to Jade/ Musogato, the head of Distant Horizon, complaining about Bard Child, an RP Administrator who insulted and abused me on the forums. I will recieve no help from Jade at the moment. She has suggested trying to remain on people's good sides. She can't really do much but will act if this continues. Which is nice to know. But, take my advice, avoid the RP Administrator called Bard Child. She is incredibly rude and mean, it's like she's tracking the threads I post at and insulting me. This may be true for all I know. Anyway, Jade/ Musogato, if you're reading this, I hope you do something about Bard Child, she is abusing her power. I was suspended just cause she got ticked at me for defending myself against her insults. Just go to the thread "Is Katara Annoying" at the Character Board, and you'll see what I mean. I invite everyone to see that thread.

I had a dream *sniffles* about... Zutara :cry:. Why me, WHY?!
Zuko and Katara were in a cave, they were sitting on a rock together. Katara was encouraging Zuko and then kissed him on the cheek and left. Zuko watched her leave and was smiling.
Ew, ew, ew. I hate Zutara and I dreamt about it. :evil::cry:

For all those saps that can't make a decent OC, here are some tips to NOT make a Mary Sue.

*She has to have a name of Asian background. Like my character's name is Vayu, the Hindu god of wind. Ursa, though Latin, isn't a common name for girls and means "bear" referring to Ursa's protective nature of Zuko. No Jennifers or anything.

*She has to look like the nation that she's from. Your character can't have blonde or red hair, and especially no highlights. If it hasn't happened in the show, you cannot do it. And no changing eyecolors.

WT girls have dark brown hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. Yue is an exeption to this.
EK girls have black, brown, or dark brown hair. Green or brown eyes, and light or tanned skin. Your girl has to have her hair in a braid or something that EK girls wear. Men's hair are in topknots.
FN girls have black or dark brown hair, gold/amber or dark gray/silver eyes, and pale or fair skin. Commoners wear red and white clothes, nobles and politicians wear black and red. Girls and boys wear topknots.
AN girls have dark chocolate brown hair, dark gray eyes, and fair skin. Boys must be shaved.

*Clothes, your girl must wear the clothes of her nation.

WT girls wear blue and white fur jackets, dark gray pants, and dark gray shoes. Only 16 and over girls can wear betrothal necklaces. Since Katara already wears her dead mother's betrothal necklace in her memory, your girl can't since its already been done.
EK girls wear multiple colors, but green and brown are most common. They can wear purple and pink, even blue, but no red and black combined. Or even seperate.
FN girls wear red and white if commoners and red and black if they are noble or are politicians. Only official nobles and politicians can wear the two pronged flame topknot piece. If related to nobles or are nobles kids, your character can wear the topknot piece.
All Airbenders wear orange and yellow Airbending clothes that differ depending on where their from.

*Her past. If she's lost a parent, then have her be sad, but not depressed even years afterward, all the time, about it. Since its Avatar on Nick, she can't have been raped or abused, then again, it is your fic, but still.

If from the WT and she's grown up in the North Pole, she has to know how to cook, clean, and other such duties. If a female Waterbender, she can heal, but she can't fight. The girls of the North Pole don't know their rights and therefore wouldn't know how unfair it is that they can't fight.
The Avatar world is basically ruled by guys, girls can't or aren't allowed to fight. Unless your girl is outgoing, she won't want to fight. Since the EK is largely involved in the war and is not male dominant, she can have just about any past you like.
If from the FN, she is raised and brainwashed to hate the EK and support the war. She can be like Ursa and not like the war because it has killed her family, but she still supports it.
I won't go into AN.

*Personality. I find that all Mary Sues are angry, hot tempered, bossy, and rude. So try and avoid that in your character.

WT girls are calm, friendly, and don't know their rights, being ruled by men and made to believe that they have to obey them.
EK girls can be tough and headstrong. But friendly.
FN girls can be pleasant and nice, or angry and spiteful.
AN girls can cheerful and friendly.

*Powers and Skills. Your character can be skilled like Katara and Azula, but don't overdue it.

    Waterbending girls are taught how to heal, and since the girls are brainwashed, she cannot want to fight.
    Earthbending girls can be about any rank.
    Firebending girls, I can't say, because we've only seen one (Azula).
    Airbending girls come from the Eastern or Western Temples, they have just as much power as men.

If they are benders, then don't give them additional skills. Zuko is a different story. If she's not a bender, then give her a unique weapon and make her good at it. She can't have any other skills. Ty Lee's acrobatics link to her skill in pressure points.
She can't be a telepath or anything else. Only bending is allowed.
