I like how every few years since like the year 2000, people like to ask "is pc gaming dead?" They sound like step kids waiting for Grandpa to die so they can get his inheritance.

But Metro was inspired by STALKER and even created by some of the same guys. At least the guy who created the Xray engine improved his skills for the A4 engine or whatever they called it. At any rate, Cyberpunk should have taught everyone another lesson about hyping games so I hope fans learn to not pay attention when they promote games so far in advance.

I prefer all digital games. All the physical copies do is just sit on your shelf and you may look at it once in a blue moon if anything to just clean the thick layer of dust off. It's not like they have all of the cool in box reading materials like lore, maps, comics, stickers, etc that old games used to. No, that's a premium charge of $120+ and you get a painted piece of plastic of an ingame character...cooooooool

It's hard to beat a PC with the plethora of mod options, sometimes even for niche games. The tweaking potential to change look and feel, The fact that it's so backwards compatible that you can play PC games dating back to the 80's including nearly every console up to a PS3. Also the option of 100% free software and games is still technically an option whether you like it or not, it's there. Then you have all kinds of front ends to choose from to launch your games like Launchbox, Playnite, Galaxy, etc. You can change your startup sounds, video and more. Don't like one controller, pick another. Interested in VR? ..just pick one. Headsets? There's like infinite options. You may have a higher upfront cost, but add up the cost of multiplayer, fewer options for game pricing/pirating and in the long run you can spend as much or more but you can also do thousands of other things.

Consoles are a toaster..it makes toast. That's it.

FC 6 will likely be just more of FC 3-5 but with a new story. If STALKER 2 is akin to a more stable and proper STALKER then it gets my vote. I put more hours into just modding that game than I played any of the FC games....but for the record, FC 2 still has graphics that hold up pretty damn well today. I can only hope that FC 6 is more like FC 3 than FC 5, not that they are really that different or anything.

Like no one else ever says one thing and then changes their mind later. People talk shit but it means nothing without a signed legal binding agreement. Everyone does it. Literally everyone talks out of their ass and changes their mind later.

Valve stated they aren't partnering with 3rd parties since that's kinda what killed off the Steam machines to begin with. That and the fact that game performance was worse with Linux than Windows. Trying to maintain a game performing OS is a lot more than a company like Valve could handle without a lot more serious investments, expertise and a lot more time.

Portable PC gaming devices is far from new. I have an old GPD Windows 10, looks like a 3ds. There's another out there thats been around for a while that looks like a Switch and even has removable controllers like the switch does.

So basically his character will just be running all the time from his presumably gay thoughts?...oh yay.
