what he saying is that if M$ owns the whole market, M$ can controll everything that they put on their console since there will be no competition(no nintendo to controll the kiddie market), and they can do what ever they like increase prices of hardware and software and gamer cant do anything about it but stop playing games.

I don't own any next-gen consoles (shouldn't they now be know as pres-gen consoles seeing how all are presently released?). I did make the mistake of buying the original Xbox. Anyway.....

What Microsoft is achieving borders on the margins of illegal. They have done this in the past and have been brougtht to court in many countries and here they are doing it within the scope of video gaming, and many people in this forum stand and applaud.

I am not a fan of Sony, nor Microsoft.

What MS is doing is "flooding the market" with their product by selling their product at a huge loss for the near term. When Japan did this in the 80's with semiconductor equipment, automobiles, etc, the US was all up in arms against it. But it is OK for MS to do this. MS is buying developers or buying the rights to video games and pushing out the competition. Some think this is capitalism. But it is NOT free market capitalism which is designed for the best interest of consumer choice.

As you all stand in gratuitous awe of MS and applaud them for what they are doing, just remember your enthusiasm for these events when you have no choice but to go through Microsoft for your gaming needs. It will be very similar to the OS situation the world finds itself in now. Same thing with web browsering media players, and all the other stuff that MS has snuffed out. And yes, they are being sued on every account. But they have unlimited funds because they control practically 100% of the OS and PC market.

It will be a sad day for video gamers if Microsoft should succeed in controlling the video gaming market. You all should be wary of this.

Once Rockstar shows the new trailer and it has the 360 and ps3 logos.

the only way you know if something is going on is if you dont see a ps3 logo or the trailer is delayed.
