You have to have a publisher. MS will be your publisher. Are you comforted now?

@yearssomuch What the article isn't clear on is that its intended for use on more static game elements that don't change a lot with player action - adding detail to the sky, the fog, the background elements, whatever. It won't be handling your bullet trails and kung fu moves.

But it could take on world rendering to free up more local resources for your bullet fu.

"that's your fastest time so far, I bet you can take a few more seconds off your next run"...

Good to see that transparently stroking the player's ego is still a fundamental ingredient, even if driving lines, assist variations and cockpit view are not. I keep waiting for Dirt 3 to tell me I have rugged good looks and really satisfy in the sack.

Whatever. I hate exclusives but they are a fact of life. The main thing is...if it doesn't support Oculus Rift, that'd be a crime.

@Atragon

It's like @karin_2049 said, dumbest teaser ever. If it's not Hayter, who cares who it is? @eliebaz might as well be right - let it be Justin Beiber.

@Riddick123 @Saintier Uh...it's interesting information about the next gen console(s). That could be it.

@theKSMM MS screwed up by not making that clear enough BEFORE the reveal. That message was just lost in the wind. MS really has sucked hard at their messaging. In a way, just for that, they deserve all the heat they are taking.

@musalala @casshan02 @If_U_Only_Knew That's the thing about requiring Kinect - instead of stupid games designed for Kinect, we'll see smart implementation of simple unobtrusive Kinect functionality into core titles.

If you haven't noticed, Sony is trying to mimic the Kinect functionality as closely as they can.

@dussan2 @XxTheEvilxX @plaintomato @jer_1 What Sony knows is that if they don't do it, they'll make it that much easier for MS to get third party exclusives or priority timing.

What Sony has done well so far is allow MS to take the bullets. We'll see if that backfires when gamers find out Sony only secured that good will by not telling the full story. With MS tho, seriously, could they have screwed up their messaging any worse?

@XxTheEvilxX If you are looking for reasons to go Sony over X1, there are only two that look legit that I've seen: 1) Sony is poised to strongly support indy, while MS is poised to rape indy devs. 2) Sony has a history of better peripherals (like Logitech G27) and a more open platform (like Portal 2 cross platform play...and anyone remember having to rip CDs to your 360 to listen to your own music?).

Sony will also have power on paper, but we saw how much that mattered last gen and MS will have the windows kernel that may make up for it in terms of ease of porting.

And PC beats them both on all fronts, including being backwards compatible. So the reality is it is just a question of exclusives.
