i dont know if this is any help but right now im using an agneovo 19" monitor. ive had it for 2 and a half years now and have had absolutely no problems although the power input for the power chord is a little messed up like if i knock the power cable the monitor loses power for a second but since it sits on my desk without being touched this is hardly an issue. its been really good for my gaming needs so far and im not looking to upgrade any time soon. unfortunately its not a 20" or 22" but 19" is still a pretty big monitor no doubt

hm well based on all of your guys input im going to postpone any purchases until more info on the new 9 series comes out as it will probably be a smarter move to just upgrade to those

i saw some benchmarks form a canadian website and the GTS is better mainly in higher res and DX10 games. when it comes to low res DX9 games the GT outperforms it in many tests. its not till those higher res and DX10 games come into play where its better. the GTX still remains on top out of the three though. heres the site i got the info from

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/3173-evga-8800gts-640mb-w-112sps-ssc-edition-review.html

the reason its running better on higher res is because of the VRAM. since it has 640mb its able to load textures at a faster rate than the GT is able to at higher resolutions

hope this helped

right well wut im saying is im going to wait until like mid january or beginning of february when we find out more about the 9 series to decide if ill step up to the new 9 series cards or the new GTS and by then the price may havegone down and im fully aware i can only do this with EVGA cards by the way

ouch that sucks at least the GT is still a really good card. and ya that would probably be best to wait out on my 90 day step up that way the card would maybe drop in price a little or maybe the new 9 series will come out during the scheduled time (lunar february) which would be perfect i think since technically since i bought my GT on Dec. 1st the 90 day step up would end March 1st which is about 2 weeks after the new 9 series

ill just let the 90 days take course for a few months till i find out more abut the 9 series and its release

does anybody have any idea how much this card will cost? i have roughly $100 left over from upgrading as i was able to save money by switiching a few parts and i was planning on putting it towards games and i have an additional $320 coming to me after i do a job later on this month so i know i will have enough money to step up but jw how much it will cost so i can expect how much of a difference i should be paying?

also in terms of the step up service does it matter where u actually bought it from or does EVGA honor all cards no matter where purchased?

i just read a review with benchmarks from a canadian website about the new 8800GTS 640mb card and based on the benchmarks this card outperforms the GT on all DX10 games and with higher resolutions but DX9 games are either tied between the GTS and GT or beter on the GT.
