I don't follow much hype. When I read a lot of people talking about a certain game, I look it up, watch some videos, and download demo if available. Hype can't be trusted.

This morning was Hellgate's turn to become a let down. That demo was one of the worst things I've ever played. In fact, I think is the worst demo ever made. I'm waiting for the game to come out, beacuse I won't buy it until I read a lot of player reviews.

Uh, no. The 8800GTS is by far the best buy out there right now. It currently has the best high-end price:performance ratio.

As for Crysis, I'll be surprised if the 8800GTS can't max it out. And if the 8800GTS isn't able to, I really doubt an 8800GTX would be able to either, since the performance difference between the two isn't exactly huge (10-20%?)

As for games to try: Go with titles like STALKER, Bioshock, and Supreme Commander to test what your rig is capable of.

If the 8800gts can't max it, Crysis won't get far until next year or so, when all prices drop.

I have 8800gts, 2.6 x2 5200+ amd, 4gb of ram.

I tried, and didn't occur after playing for like 30 minutes. But it's a come and go crash

I exit to windows, then it showed me a blue screen with something written on it, sort of a BIOS blue screen, and then the PC rebooted
