hmm it could certainly help , if I understood you correctly , your rig is really old , maybe consider getting a new better rig instead of such an expensive card. I also had an old rig once and thought that by placing a really better card it would fix the lag and bad performance ,but guess what ? I't didn't work... Now I got a new rig and medium performance card and it works dreamfully !samu99

WHAT?! OLD?! omg...

No, nothing old there. The graphics card is a mid range, that's all. That's a kick ass PC, not as much as the GTX, obviously, but that's a very good PC!

I put a fan onto my case and now my CPU temps won't go over 49-50c. That's a 6C gain, used to go all the way to 55-56c at full load.

Gratz!

Could this bring me troubles in the future?

Lol Vista is fine for me...I have an E6420 @ 2.13ghz, 2 gigs of 667mhz ram, and an 8600GT. I can run run the Crysis demo at like Medium with a few settings on low at like 30-40 FPS. Might be just the Beta. I mean he did say that he can run all other games so I don't see why Vista would be the problem.

Ichalabon

Yeah, but World in Conflict is not on beta anymore.

You have to download it from Steam also, well I won't be getting it..It took almost a day and half to download "Lost planet" yesterday from their server.I just want a game I can put in,register the key and play.

Lauryn2000

Same thing happend to me with Lost Planet too. I installed from a CD that came as a gift on my 8800gts, and had to wait around 12houts to play it... how dumb!
