I havent touched my DS in over two years, but Im going on a big trip soon (9 hour car ride) and Im looking for something to entertain me. Ive found three RPGs that look like the best the DS has to offer, But I cant decide on which to pick because I only have enough funds for one.
So, between Dragon Quest V, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV, which would be the best for longest playtime/easy pickup/putdown-ability/most fun? Ive never played any of these games, Ive played FF12 once and DQ8 but otherwise, I have no experience for any of the franchises.
Cod4 was my first COD game and I loved it. I havent even played the multiplayer, but the single player was the most fun I've had in an FPS since Resistance. I dont mind it going to WW2, Ive heard some bad things about Treyarch, but devs do have suprise hits sometimes. I havent played a WW2 game since Medal of Honor Frontlinesfor GC, and I enjoyed it.
On another note, I've never played a good Vietnam game. Are there any? (I know there was a battlefield vietnam, might pick it up if it works on vista)
Beat Cod 4 last night, still working on Turok, MGS4 (watched the retrospective this morning), Dark Kingdom, Ninja Gaiden, and Viking. GAve up on GTA, and im finding it hard to get back into Burnout Paradise (I played the demo for over 10 hours before I got the game, and by then the fun wore off and I couldnt get into it...) even with the bike patch, which is kind of disapointing so far (EVERY crash is an instant respawn, its kinda weird)
Gears invented saws, blades, and bayonets. Basically, all Civil War weapons are Lancer clones and lumberjacks have been using saws wrong for centuries.
And if you're going to saw its copying something, make sure it's, y'know, actually copying it. Insomniac used this in a previous RAtchet Game, and its been used in other games (Hell, I used one similar to it in a previous Epic game, The Ripper in UT99. You'd be more accurate if you had said it's copying htat, although it is different with the alt fire and more accurate physics. Just pointing that out.)
Unfortunately, mines sitting next to my ps3, look awfully lonely. I really need to beat Galaxy sometime...
Soon, it will be sitting next to my ps3 and 360, and it will look like the awkward kid at the party sitting next to the two amazingly hot chicks who are making out. Yeah.
Uncharted is a really fun game, you just have to give it a chance. Don't go in with a super serious attitude towards it and youll enjoy it. It's lighthearted and fun, and the graphics are spectacular (NO, not the best crysis blah blah blah ultra high dx10 7080x9754 resolution, whatever). I'd recommend trying it again. The gameplay is also fun, you just have to time when you pop up and know how to do a deadly melee combo well.
Yeah, it's pretty short, I beat it in 4 days, around 9 hours total (I was goofing off a lot), but I can see myself going back to it every few months until Uncharted 2 comes out.
I have the full Rock Band Bundle for Ps3, (along with the GH12and 80s with 2's guitar for ps2 and 3 and guitar for wii) and I'll be pickup the GHWT bundle and the Rock Band 2 stand alone. The GH instruments look more interesting and fun, although I still liked RB1's instruments. I will probably never pick up GH aerosmith, although I might pick up 3 for ps3 once I already have the instruments. Rock Revolution wont be anything special.
