So, I've been seeing a lot of talk about this new Netflix/Xbox live deal and how it's some amazing thing that seperates the Xbox 360 from the Ps3. I can't seem to understand why. I usually see people here on SW flaming others who mention the fact that Ps3 plays Blu-ray movies, who all think that these should not matter in the gaming format war. But then, after e3 and this announcement, the xbox owners jump all over this netflix deal. That seems silly, but from what I've seen (only been browsing SW for a month or so), this sort of hypocrisy runs rampant on these boards.

Aditionally, do the xbox360 people really know how crappy the netflix instant selection is? Unless there is some major revamp in store for the instant movies on netflix in the near future, theres not much to be happy about. I've had netflix since it launched, and when the instant feature arrived, I was excited. Until I saw the list of movies. All that's on there is good TV shows (THe office, Heroes, standup) and crappy independent movies with a very small amount of gems thrown in (looking at the top 50: Ghost BUsters, Mean Girls, Pan's Lab, MIB). It doesn't seem to have any big titles after 2006. So what exactly is everyone so excited about? And I find it hard to believe that Netflix is going to have a better collectionJUST for xbox360 users.

Tl;Dr version: What does SW think of the seperation between movies and games on consoles, and why are the xbox 360 people so excited about their up-and-coming, sup-par (IMO) netflix service?

And yeah, I have a ps3 currently, but I will pick up a 360 later in the year after I see how these RPGs turn out. So I'm not trying to be fanboyish, just want to have a bit of discussion on this subject.

I don't have either, but I'm thinking of buying SSHD, looks like fun. Both have demos on PSN, try them out. Plus, both have trophy support.

Looks great, I've never played a banjo game but maybe I'll try one soon...

Is it just me, or does it look like they tried to make Banjo look like he came straight from the Madagascar movies? His blockiness looks similar, but much more detailed.

No, I stopped getting angry at videogames after my WoW days (during WoW, I broke two mice and many buttons on my keyboard.) I'm pretty relaxed now though, although wii tennis gave me a bit of frustration once.

But on my Ps3 games, I havent gotten mad enough to break a controller. Although I haven't played any online yet...

They should make Cubivore 2, Cubivore was amazing. They should make it for all systems though, everyone should be able to enjoy it.

Horizontal. It's in a high-traffic room, on the floor, so, as much as Id like it to be vertical, it's too dangerous.

Sixaxis currently, Probably going to get either a white or silver dualshock from asia after this fall, once the onslaught of awesome games ends. I only have 1 splitscreen game now anyway (besides rock band)

2 and 3 were the best. 4 was alright, thug was sorta fun just for the story and the gameplay was somehwat refreshing. thug 2 was bad, and everything after was terrible (i bought project 8 and returned it a day later). I've never played 1, but I do intend on doing so soon.

I went to gamestop today, They had the prices for the games, but not the boxes. But no copies of Ninja Gaiden, so I picked up Resistance for the new price in the old box. I'm actually glad, although I'd love to get Ninja Gaiden.

Dunno why they don't have them, Gamestop usually has things right when they come out. Maybe all will have them by next week.
