Hello all, I have a few questions about Siren.

It looks like a cool game, like old school RE. But how does it play; more like RE or Silent Hill? I played a SH on the ps2 once, I didn't like it too much. And it is scary? I know theres a demo, but I have no free time to play my ps3 currently, heh. Plus I heard it wasn't a good demo compared to the game.

Also, I'd like to have it in disc version ,which would mean getting it from play asia. Is the disc version going to be sold out soon, or is it safe to wait until christmastime to buy it from there? I prefer having a hard copy of games.

Thanks for the help.

Well I have the first decade, and I switch that to compatability mode for win 95 when I wanna play it. To do so, right click on the shortcut on your desktop (or anywhere) and click properties.

If you still can't get it to work, pick up the First decade. It had every C&C game from the first to Generals. It works on vista.

Morrowind. It's better than oblivion, but without the silly system reqs. I used to it get over my WoW addiction. I bought it on the same day I canceled my account, and in a week, I was so engrossed in it that I had forgotten Wo. It's a very deep game, but it doesnt require the same level of obsession to have fun. Hundreds of hours of gameplay in the normal game, plus hundreds more with the xpacs and mods, and you can take it as slowly or as fast as you want.

It's cheap too, only like $20 for the GotY version. It has aged well, I don't mind the graphics, but if you do, there are loads of graphic upgrade mods.

It's still a very active game on all versions; Nightfall and the xpac the most, however.

I just got back into it, before this summer I only had the original campaign (Prophecies) that I got on the first week that it came out. I stopped playing after about 2 months to play WoW. After quitting WoW a year ago, I decided at the beginning of this summer to get back into Guild Wars, so I bought Factions and Nightfall and EotN. I made a new factions character, and its very easy getting groups still, even though Factions is the most "dead" of the campaigns. Each campaign is different, but theyre all similar and all enjoyable

Prophecies is more of a western theme, it seems the most traditional out of all the campaigns. It takes the longest to level in this campaign, but the theme is the most enjoyable (imo)

Factions is asian themed, the characters made are more asian looking and the landscape is very asian. It takes the shortest to get to 20 in this campaign, you can do it in a weekend on the starting island with about 7-10 hours of play time. Its also the most dead of the campaigns

Nightfall is african themed. Its the easiest to solo because of the addition of heroes (all campaigns have henchmen, but heroes are introduced here and you level them and control their gear, along with better ai). Still very active.

EotN is the only xpac, and it should be gotten with prophecies, because the plot is a continuation of the prophecies campaign. However, it works with any campaign.

Nope =(

Still trying to convince the family to get an HD. We were going to get one with the economic stimulus plan money, but right as we got it, our washer and dryer broke, so we spent it on those.

It depends on the Genre.

I'm pretty awful at online FPS', although I still play them (TF2 helps me out with class balance), I'm awful at CS, I've had it for about 2 months and I think I've had about 4 kills, all of which where lucky blindfire headshots. I'm fairly good at the UT series though, that was my first FPS so I know a lot about it.

I always thought I was good at RTS', always played RA2 and WC3 single player and thought I was the bomb, but then the first time I went online I got yelled at for being so terrible. I stick to the single player nowadays.

I'm good at RPGs, mostly because they don't require you to be particularly fast, just think things through and know a good strategy. I was really good at WoW, and I'm good at console RPGs as well.

Overall, I'm a pretty crappy gamer, but I still enjoy being bad. I know a lot of bad players who think of crazy excuses for why they die so much.

Carlos Mencia, he's not funny, plus he steals jokes. Theres a youtube video where he directly steals a joke from cosby, just adding in his normal Dee-duh-dee noises and "retarded" voices. Dane Cook is wildly overrated, and Larry the Cable guy can be irratating.

Heres a video of Larry the Cable guy BEFORE he was that character. Not half bad actually. Seems like he could have been a pretty good normal comedian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VROn7ZvVoW8

My favorite Comedian is Daniel Tosh, look up (or buy) his comedy central presents 30 min special, its great. His exclusive 2 hour wasnt as good, but it wasnt bad either. Dmetri Martin is also funny when he stays away from the over-used music and keeps to the sketch pad.

Dang, are they really that bad? I was intending on buying one (along with Dungeon siege, which looks similar) when I buy a PSP later this week. It looks like I would I enjoy it, I love mindless button mashers (GGauntlet series especially), and it looked similar. And I heard they are cheap nowadays.

I own a ps3 and love it, and I very well might buy an xbox 360 with the money that I get for christmas.

Only thing holding me back now (with a more limited cash inflow) is that I'm not sure whether Fable 2 or Infinite Undiscovery will be as good as I hope, and the $100 for a wireless adapter seems a little rediculous. If Fable 2 and the other RPGs coming out for the 360, I probably will purchase it. I will buy the shooters, but those are just smaller additions. I can skip out on more shooters if needed (still not sure about Resistance or KZ2 - we'll have to see)
