I have one of the earlier Samsung DLPs, I think its 3 or 4 years old, 56". So far I haven't had any problems with gaming but I've had some reliability problems, but then again it is an earlier model. Just buy an extended warranty if you can because there is nothing more annoying then when a mirror dies.

The theory goes that because the Wii is largely marketed to casuals obviously casual games will sell. The top 2 selling games on the Wii are Wii Sports and Wii Play, case in point. Assuming this trend continues it means developers will be more likely to a) casual up their games and b) stop putting effort into their work. If 50 cent: Bulletproof can sell as well as it did, why would developers spend more time and more money making a great game when they can just crank out generic s*** and make more money. Console games like Oblivion, the R6 and GR series and others show a trend of games becoming more casual friendly in order to increase sales, leaving classic series shadows of their former selves.

I love the trash talk, especially because a) I have better chirps and b) I'm usually pretty damn good at the game too.

I don't know why they televise these things, they take hours and absolutely nothing happens that you couldn't have found out by hitting up a sports website. At least with the NFL you'll see some players that'll get some playing time, but with baseball you won't see these guys for years (hockey's pretty bad too).

[QUOTE="KaptainKorn"]Great job, Ducks. Live it up now, because Sid and the Pens are poised to take it next season! :twisted:DSgamer64

 You mean Crosby and all the old guys on his team? Seriously, Pittsburgh was supposed to win the Cup or should have made it to their conference final, but they didnt get very far in the playoffs because they have far too many dinosaur players on the team and they couldnt perform. The thing is that they got beaten by an inferior team as well.

Do you even watch hockey? The top 5 players on the Pengiuns are Crosby, Stall, Fleury, Malkin and Roberts. Roberts is the only guy in that list over 25. The penguins lost because of inexperience, the team is made up of rookies, a couple of past their prime stars and journeymen. They weren't even expected to make the playoffs, let alone make the conference final.

In other news the RCMP is still searching for the Ottawa Senators hockey club, which went missing sometime in late may. The police were notified when the Sens failed to show up for their Stanley Cup finals series with the Anahiem Ducks.

The problem with the nba right now is that the east and the west are horribly unbalanced.  The cavs wouldn't have even made it past the first round if they were in the west.  Hell, I'll go as far as to say that every team the spurs have eliminated (nuggets, suns, jazz), could have all beat the cavs in a 7 game series.UT_Wrestler
That and we have two defensive teams with relatively small fanbases. We don't get any of the crazy Yankees vs Red Sox (I know its a different sport) crazyness where you're pretty much forced to choose a side and you rarely get any flashy plays to get excited about.

Its because they are the NJ Devils of the NBA, they play fundamental, high percentage games that give them the best chance to win. Nothing flashy, nothing exciting, just predictable, smart basketball. Now for hardcore basketball fans that may be exciting but for casual fans like me who only watch if the Raptors or Suns are playing watching the Spurs play anyone other than the aforementioned Raps/Suns is like watching paint dry. Especially when you only watch quick, exciting, unconventional teams like the Raps and Suns who usually bring some flair to their game.

lol at you AROD Haters if Toronto were to even pull such a thing to puposly hit arod the suspensions would be insane for those flop JaysNetYankEagle
Hmmmm, maybe you should think a little before you talk. You're yankees are spending $100 million more than the jays to sit in 4th, barely above the f***ing D-Rays. The Jays aren't having a great season, but everyone and their grandmothers been on the DL this year, the Yankees just suck.

Thats partly because Anahiem and Ottawa have some of the worst fan support in the league. Anahiem is mostly just a bunch of celebs and bandwaggoners who read on pg. 7 of the newspaper between the Aussie rules football and Irish hurling reports that their team was doing pretty good and Ottawa is just made up of Leafs haters.

I've heard some pretty sad stuff from these two teams, James Duthie said it was surreal how quiet the ducks fans were leaving the pond after they won the cup (in contrast Edmonton would still be partying if they won last year) and I've heard from some buddies in Ottawa that at the "sens mile" (about the least creative name possible) whenever the team won the cheers would be in order 1) Leafs suck and then 2) Go Ottawa. Also they had this petition going around Canada (especially Toronto) honest to god asking us to cheer for Ottawa because they could bring the cup back to Canada. Did Edmonton or Calgary need petitions? No, thats just how poorly supported the Sens are, their fans would rather cut down other teams than cheer for their own, but when they want to show support, they ask us Leafers to do it for them. Sad stuff.

The NHL has bad ratings at the best of times, you add in two teams with weak fan support, and then turn it into purely defensive hockey (since Ottawa decided not to show up) and I'm watching the Jays game.
