Maybe the demo was from an older build and the framerate will improve but if it doesn't than there is no way dirt will outscore forza in terms of graphics.

[QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="Firelore29"]That's not the point.  The point is that it may be great for a few games but it's not going to be something that developers will produce a number of games for.  You mentioned Guitar Hero, yes it's wonderful, but there are only 2 games that use the guitar and they are both Guitar Hero games. Firelore29

So now you know what games will and won't support it? That must be a pretty sweet job at Mircosoft you have.

It's called past experience.  Why don't you list one add on remote that was added to a console that took off to the point that other 3rd party publishers/developers made games for it..  There will be some people who buy this accessory sure, but no where near all 10 million 360 owners will.  In turn 3rd party developers won't spend time developing games for it.

Otherwise it will try and map it's movements to movements on the 360 remote and you will have yourself a PowerGlove.

Again the dualshock. It became the de facto standard controller for the PS1 (or the PS brand for that matter). Plus with the sidewinder and xbox controllers MS has shown they know how to build a gamepad.

Again, you know absolutely nothing about what MS is planning to do with this controller. For all we know MS has a full line of sports games, party games, FPS's and 3rd party support for the controller that could be better than the Wiimote. We're not talking about a 3rd party controller like the Powerglove (that had zero game support), we're talking about a 1st party controller from a company that owns some very good developers and has some very deep pockets to pay 3rd party developers to use a new controller. The point is, no one here has any idea what MS has planned.

NHL: Leafs- Missed the playoffs and for some godawful reason they're planning on giving Sundin over $5 million a year to maybe score 20 goals. Plus Bryan McCabe seemingly still has a job. Not good.

NBA: Raptors- Great season, made the playoffs even though they were expected to be a lottery team. Division champs, coach of the year and exec of the year, plus #2 player in rookie of the year scoring and our captain made 1st team all star at 23 years old. Not too shab.

NFL: Lions- Hey, maybe this reciever will actually work out. Nah.

MLB: Jays- Apparently JP made a deal with the devil to keep the Big Hurt healthy all season, its the only way to explain how seemingly every other player on the team is on the DL. At least Hill and Rios are swinging the twig well.

[QUOTE="pundog"]I love all the "it will suck" or "Wii is the only place to do motion sensing" comments at a report that MS said they are thinking about adding motion-sensing. No information, no details, hell they didn't even confirm anything and the fanboys go rampant. For all we know MS's motion sensing controller will beat the wii like a red-headed stepchild.Firelore29

It doesn't matter if it's better.  Heck it could be 100 times better but it won't sell.  Aftermarket controllers simply don't sell.  This has been tried before many many times.  The problem is that M$ may make a few games for it but developers will not because most of the people who own a 360 won't buy this add on.

You may have heard of this little controller called the dualshock...

BIG difference.  Unless they are going to make the motion sensing like the PS3's sixaxis I can't see how they can convert their controller into a Wiimote.

Also they added in dual shock really soon after the PS1 was released and it doesn't actually effect the control of the game.  That doesn't even compare to this.

How do you know they'll make it like the sixaxis? For all we know they're doing something like the Wiimote or something we've never seen before. Thats my point, people are condemning a product to failure when they have absolutely zero information on it. They don't have to convert the standard 360 pad into anything, they could just release a standalone motion-sensing controller. If people will pay extra for a guitar hero controller that only works with one game then they'll pay for a new, motion sensing controller too (assuming the support is there).

[QUOTE="pundog"]You guys don't get it. How many signs at Best Buy or Walmart or Circuit city say that BR has x number of exclusive studios or HD-DVD has x number of exclusive studios. Right, none. What people see is a really pretty picture next to a big price tag regardless of format. The first company to get that price tag south of $200 will win, because by then they are charging pretty close to the price of a quality DVD player, or at least close enough to justify spending the extra coin.Javy03

Wrong, what people see is what movies are availble in what format and when they find out most of their fav. movies are on Blu ray and exclusive because of whatever reason they will wait to invest in the HD player that satisfies them.

You buy a media player to play movies.  Blu ray has more variety and more movies.  It doesnt matter if HD DVD players are 20 dollars if they dont have the movies I wanna buy I am not gonna settle for smokin aces over 007, Pirates, Spiderman and many others.  Having more movies makes it more likly that they will appeal to the audience while HD DVD only appeals to people who care for some fox movies, but mostly love Universal.

But there is nothing there to tell them that some movies are exclusive to BR and some are exclusive to HD-DVD, at least nothing obvious. Other than that stupid 3 minute pirates commercial and some "only on HD-DVD/BR" tags on the movies its hard to know what movies are exclusive. You're thinking way to highly of the average consumer and that they'll actually do some research instead of impulse buy, which is why the price matter so much. I mean I couldn't tell you what studio makes what movie and I'm a pretty big movie fan, I just don't give a rats ass what studio makes it. You think some average joe is going to go and spend 3 hours deciding the pros and cons of each system?

If whoever reviews Dirt was playing Forza or a PC racer before the review than I see Dirt losing points because of its framerate, during the demo it slowed down pretty badly in some places, which is much more noticable after playing Forza 2.
