Thank god you made this thread, I almost went 3 minutes without reading another retarded "MGS4 coming to 360" thread.

Yes the 360 version of GRAW has nothing in common with the other versions other than the name. Same thing with Battlefield 2 on the PC compared to the console versions.

[QUOTE="Meu2k7"][QUOTE="Neal_Gore"][QUOTE="DA_B0MB"]

I only consider the PC the only "true" hardcore gamers' platform. There are some hardcore games for the consoles but PC is the way to go if you're really hardcore.

Neal_Gore

I consider the PC a hardware lover's platform and not a gamer's since games work like crap out of the box and you have to upgrade to even play the next good game like Crysis.

PC addicts will go out and upgrade thier PCs for a couple grand or more to get the full glory of Crysis

What I don't understand is how people can invest in hardware that isn't worth crap in a year or two and not use that money for nice clothes or even shampoo to wash their hair

-.- generilization for teh lose., and your sig is 10x worse, tell me what system are you fanboying?

There are more casual PC Gamers than any platform even the Wii, while we also have the most hardcore.

And it costs nowhere near as much as you make out, why do you even bother to post such dribble!?

Let me ask you a question, If i wanted to play Crysis and I needed a new PC and couldn't just upgrade cause the only thing worth keeping would be the case, how much would it cost me?

I figure at least 2000 to 3000 to play the game at decent settings

That game stalker don't even run smooth on the recommended settings on THQs site

IMHO people need to get some fresh air if they buy a PC to play Crysis which they will have to pay 2 to 3 grand to play at decent settings and to get decent frames, don't even lie and say "I could build a hardcore gaming rig for the thousand dollars!"

I think my IQ dropped 10 points just by reading that.

[QUOTE="thirstychainsaw"]If Epic cares so much about gamers they should pay for their own servers and release the content for free as well as having dedicated servers for Gears and fix the damn bullet lag. Microsoft also should stop being so damn greedy and give me those damn maps for free.makingmusic476

THey can't do that. All Xbox 360 games are forced to conform to the XBL standards of online play. Hence, only p2p servers, DLC through the XBL Store, etc.

This one of the pluses of Sony going with the non-unified architecture of the PSN, similar to pc online. Devs can do whatever they want with their games for online play/features.

Yes they could, EA runs their own servers. And charging for DLC isn't part of it either, its the publisher that decides on the cost of DLC *cough*horse armour*cough*.

What about Sega and the others? Sega cut online from the PS3 version of VT3 and Activision cut online from the PS3 version at least one of its games, IIRC.

Huh, I thought that p2p was a standard of XBl.   Well, guess i'm wrong.

It is but some developers/publishers use dedicated servers, obviously games like FFXI and Huxley aren't going to work P2P and because EA probably has a s***load of servers sitting around anyway they figure they might as well use them. The advantage of P2P is that the community can never die like it can for console games that run on dedicated servers.

[QUOTE="pundog"]Jeez I know the cows are getting annoyed by the MGS4 on 360 rumors but at least pick some games that actually have a chance of coming to PS3.Redfingers

This one actually does. I'd say it was coming to the PS3 if the publishers themselves hadn't said otherwise. I think this COULD, possibly be a case of Devil May Cry 4 over again, so no reason to rule out the possibility.

Well technically yes it could but after Oblivion and how much time it took to port I don't see Irrational spending a year or so porting Bioshock.

Just because the other 2 or 3 posts in this thread apparently aren't enough to get it through some peoples heads:

MS owns the rights to the first 2 GeoW titles, its not coming to the PS3 until at least (if ever) GeoW 3.

BlazeDragon132

They own the right to publish it. It can be taken away if Epic funds to publish it on its own.

They wouldn't be able to use the name GeoW though, or any of the characters or background. Lucky for Epic they forgot to add any actual story to GeoW.

Only thing I see the Wii doing for gaming is forcing MS and Sony to market more towards casuals and non-gamers, and bring us a truckload of s***ty, half-a**ed games. Not exactly a ton of good.

Oblivion- AAA

Wario Ware- AAA

Wii and PS3 is even, so I don't see a problem.

BlazeDragon132
Except Oblivion PS3 is a year old port. Warioware on the Wii is a new title, so they aren't even.
