Ugh, another derivative cinematic third person shooter.

Who plays single player anyway in a fighting game?
Well why doesn't that argument work for shooters?
Because unlike fighting games it is actually possible to have a good single player mode in shooters
People can actually play SFV so...
They can play half of it, much like The Master Chief Collection, just different halves of the game.
Nobody buys fighting games for single player. Most people buy Halo for multiplayer.

Are you being serious here? Playing against AI controlled bots is boring as hell and it is pretty much impossible to have decent story mode in a fighting game. Fighting games have always been Multiplayer games in nature.
@zeeshanhaider: Oh yeah, sure. Lets judge a game that is 9-10 months away from release from just a demo that was clearly stated to show just a small portion of a prototype version of the combat system. And no turn based combat is not "archaic". Its just another type of gameplay that allows you to have a much better control over your party then any real time combat system. And no, its nit lazyness. There are people who enjoy turn based combat systems more then real time combat systems.
Modern JRPGs don't use ATB anymore.
So, you are telling me they have stopped being lazy and switched to realtime combat?
lazy? lol, there is a lot more depth without real time combat per capita
Yup, turn based in 2016 by any major AAA studio is lazy and just for reference to see how eay turn based is to program compare to realtime look at Azure Revolution and how stupid is AI now that they are somewhat trying to switch to realtime.
Valkyria the azure revolution is a game that is still far away from release. As such I think it is rather ridiculous to expect it not to be rough around the edges. The demo was released to gather feedback just like with Final Fantasy XV episode duscae. In fact from what I have read, the very first thing that appear when you start the demo is message saying that the demo is showing a prototype version of the combat system. They will release a new demo of the game this summer. And yes real time combat in RPGs is usually more shallow then those with turn based combat. Just look at the witcher 3. Its combat system is very shallow as it offers very few options to the player and despite of that it is actually extremely bloated because lets be honest here, all you ever need in the witcher 3 is the basic fast attack and quen sign. As a general rule modern WRPGs have extremely shallow and poor combat systems compared to JRPGs.
Japanese games are always inferior when it comes to realism. Their style is more of the fantastical, crazy, and bizarre nature. You only need to look at the difference of MGS and Splinter Cell.
Glad we agree that they suck compare to the rest of the world's offerings. lol JRPGs
Realism equals quality? Since when? I honestly find realism and games that try to hard to be grounded in reality to be very boring and uninspired.
I am not sure how the story is going to be but in terms of gameplay this has the potential of being really damn good.
@Bigboi500:
Is Witcher 3 all that original? I don't think so at all even though I did enjoy playing it.
Compared to Madden, Fifa, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed? Yes.
The point still stands. Despite being a great game there is absolutely nothing that makes the witcher 3 original. Fantasy WRPGs that take place on the middle ages and are inspired by norse mythology have been done to death. The thing is that market is currently completely oversaturated with shooters which is why games like the witcher 3 do not feel as derivative and unimaginative as the average shooter.
These are all changes for the better that make the game less creepy. I don't see how anyone can complain about these changes, though I am sure some will find a way.
Care to reword that?
You just called an entire population creepy because they think differently than you do.
No, he called a part of the game creepy because it lets you sexually rub body parts of your siblings and another part that is basically gay conversion therapy scene. Creepy and inappropriate.
Except it is not a "gay conversion therapy", just look at the article QuietRaven posted in this thread
http://nichegamer.com/2015/07/the-story-behind-fire-emblem-fates-completely-falsified-gay-conversion/
I'm just saying it can be easily interpreted that way.
And even if that part seems a little thin, the incestuous sexual rubbing is just wrong, no matter how you try to spin it.
Killing is also wrong no matter how you try to spin it and yet almost every game has it.
On top of that from I am hearing it is just an optional mini game. I am pretty sure you are not forced to play it.
