[QUOTE="r-teest"][QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"]What scientific study shows that GM foods are harmful to humans?lostrib

Nothing proves its super toxic, but likewise nothing has proved its been completely safe either. Also, is it necessary? I personally haven't researched it enough besides a relatively brief research paper for school.

well if nothing proves it's bad or harmful, why should it be banned then?

Well it's been a while since I've researched it but apparently Monsanto has played dirty as a company in general. So the bad press associated with Monsanto is more than GM food but as well as their business practices. Lastly, maybe GM foods shouldn't necessarily be banned, but they shouldn't be so eagerly forced upon the market. Monsanto allegedly is holding a monopoly on this market and controlling many genetically unaltered seeds. Sorry for citing no sources, I can't right now.

The bad PR around Monsanto is totally unjustified.

Why is that?

It's definitely mid-range but it's a good mid-range.acanofcoke
Man, and all along I was thinking it was a high end machine! Haha well, its better than what I have now. I spent a whole grand though, so how much is a high end machine on average, $1500?

I would of thought you'd want something better than a 2GB 660ti for Maya and 3dsmax....acanofcoke
What would you consider the 660ti, a high-end or mid-high, etc? After shopping around and reading comments, I realize just when you think you're getting something really good, someone just says there's something better. I know other cards exist that are better for those programs but, I'm just starting out anyway and wouldn't exhaust the program to need a better card. (And I'm a poor college student haha, I can't afford $2000 pc's...)

[QUOTE="mastershake575"][QUOTE="Masenkoe"]

One thing I don't get is this, it's okay to go prebuilt if you just don't wanna build but don't come and ask if you did the right thing, ask before you buy! hahah :P

GTR12

I wondered this also (why would you ask if somethings good moments after buying it ?)

Its just so people get reassurance from others, basically a "feel good excercise".

Pretty much this, and I could always return it. I ordered it and it's not here yet, so it's not like it's been opened and used already.

I just bought this computer for 3d work (3ds max, maya, mudbox) and plan to use it for gaming too. It's pre built and I've heard many times that a lot of money could be saved building it from scratch, however, things like installing the OS and making sure I get compatible parts kind of worried me a bit. I decided to just buy a pre built system. Anyhow, what do you all think of this pc? Link It's $999
