@RicanV it was already formed. Once I got a wired X360 controller I basically play everything that is on XBLA on steam instead these days. Cheaper and with the exact same experience. And the controller works well with toned down PC ports (cheaper again). Honestly, I don't know why I have consoles anymore now that I can 'console game' on my PC with my controller when I need to.
@ddg4005 I also agree with this. If wires don't drive you nuts they are the economical way to go. When I'm right next to my computer and my kids can't keep running in front of me all the time and trip on the wires I absolutely would prefer to be plugged in.
They don't need to. They can sell you $200 hardware and only give you their franchises on them and people are still happy with it. That is why it is a luxury to have a Nintendo box anymore these days. You get one when you want to play their stuff.
That is why I find it odd that they even bother courting 3rd parties. Who cares if some 3rd party makes a crappy port to my Nintendo hardware? I wasn't going to play it on that device anyhow. People own nintendo to play nintendo - the only people that want Nintendo to port to other hardware are the people that don't want to support Nintendo in the first place by buying their hardware.
Nintendo just needs to stick to their guns and be a Nintendo only console. People wouldn't bash on the comparisons and parents will still buy it for their kids because all of them still refer to everything (xbox, sony) as a "Nintendo" anyhow.
And gamers like us would buy it for all the franchises we like to keep playing (even though it might only be 5-10 games in the end)
@tomservo51 This is the problem. For some reason sports games have gone from fun to making it look and feel like you are watching TV. The problem is a lot of those games are not fun.
I could care less about professional athletes, I wonder if they could make 'likeness' a DLC option. Sell the game for $60 but don't put any of the 'likeness' in it beyond maybe the team names (even then I wouldn't care), then charge $15 for a DLC patch that updates the models and rosters for those that want "likeness".
I can tell you right now I have had more fun playing games that had little tie to real life people / teams than I have using modern 'it is in the game' crap anyhow.
