Even though a lot of 360 fanboys are going to start flaming me here in just a second, I'm going to go ahead and state that I think that Nintendo should've done it's best to keep Rare. Why? The only Rare games that appeal to me were classics like Donkey Kong Country (the first one), Banjo Kazooie, etc. (basically, almost everything they've produced on the Nintendo consoles) They also made Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 very high quality games, but once Rare got sold to Microsoft, everyting that Rare was well known for went down the drain. And you can also notice that Conker Live and Reloaded was a remake Bad Fur Day, with better graphics and *shudders* censorship. It's like, Microsoft is giving them a bad influence or something.

I don't know really what to say, back when Rare was with Nintendo, they were untouchable when it came to developing quality games, but Microsoft gave Rare a bad rep once they got sold to them (Microsoft).

Disturbed_King

This is what I mean. On N64 they were considered one of the top developers on ANY console and now they seem to have lost their edge. Maybe it's just that there are more excellent developers these days.

don't confuse him.

It's FFIII in the US, don't know about Europe, but it was FFVI(6) in Japan.

It was FFIII in europe. I traded it for that lame Secret of Evermore game :(

Yea that's very old, but i kinda meant in public places. I mean if the landlord wanted to he could surely get a new ad in there and make money.

Does anyone remember Mad Nurse on C-64? It was immense. You played a nurse who had to run around a ward and put babies into cots. They would climb out after a while and the ward was littered with things like bottle of poison, fish tanks, really hot radiators, electrical sockets and of course, a big lift (elevator) shaft.

Does anyone else remember the glory days of gaming where child death was used a vehicle for addictive gameplay?

It's because X-Box has a decent replacement. PS2 doesn't (yet, though it's getting there)

There are some real rarities out there. If price is no object then games like Illusion of Time (sold mine for £60 / $120) and Final Fantasy III are good ones. I don't know how their value is being affected by things like XBLA and whatever Nintendo and Sony use to sell old games for new money.

Zelda 3 is awesome. Mariokart, obvious. Earthbound was good if you like Zelda. NBA Jam was awesome. Unirally (think it was called Uniracers in US) was brilliant. It might be quite rare too as it was pulled because of some copywright stuff with the unicycles. I had that but sold it ages ago. Very good though. And I think it was made by the studio who made GTA4 (yay!) Thats all i remember for now.

I was draining the 10ft python in my local pub the other night and the ad above the urinal was for 'Hogs of War' on PS1. The game was released 8 years ago! So then, a really old games ad. Can anyone beat this?
