Why do you care if the games sell consoles? Do you buy games just because they sell consoles or because you enjoy them ? Sure Rare's games may not push consoles, but they are what games are supposed to be and that is fun. demon565

Ok, ok. I'm ot saying they're a rubbish company, I'm just saying that they used to be making cutting edge games. And now they make nice games, like Viva Pinata which I have because it came with a bundle. It's an ok game, but it's not pushing the boundaries like they used to. And the price that MS paid was some kind of record (at the time at least). So I'm just thinking that mayybe Microsoft regret their decision. Maybe. A little.

If it does it will end up like the Commadore 128 which was the new Commadore 64. Does anyone remember it, no. Because it was released when people were still getting 64K loving.

Microsoft bought Nintendo's controlling share of RARE about 5 years ago for a rumored 250 million (can't remember if it was £ or $).I used to be a Nintendo fan boy until Wii and thought it was a huge mistake by Nintendo as they had produced amazing games for N64.

But what have they really done recently. Sure they make nice games but they aren't exactly killer aps which sell the console.

Any thoughts?

I call pounds 'squadron leaders'. They lead a squad of 100 pennies. Speaking of differences in culture, do any Americans play Pro Evo Football (soccer) by Konami? Also, did any Americans see that episode of Family Guy where Zidane (french footballer) knocks an old ladies door, head butts her, wicshes her happy birthday and drops a cake on her body? And if so did you understand the reference.

Thanks

What a retard If you don't want to get the acheivements then don't. No one is forcing you. It's not a big deal. If you don't think it has any good games or any good future games then sell the console and spend the money on something you will enjoy.

yea, i think it just originates from when TVs were first being made. UK, AUS and europe had 625 lines on the pic than ***, US who had 525, but the ***/US refreshed at 60Hz rather than 50Hz. France also had a different system alongside PAL (i think) which was a bit HI-def with a lot more lines (but I might be wrong on this).

I don't think it really matters anymore though does it? What with HD TV's? Yea they still lockout regions but thats because of business. And yea, games are more expensive in UK - $80 for a new release.

Yea, I would love to have a BASE jump from one of the skyscrapers.

Also, and this is quite specific, I would love to be able to chase down some guy who's getting away in a convertable while I'm in a bigger truck and kill him by chucking a grenade into his car. Slam on the brakes. Watch him drive off. BOOM.

There won't be any planes.

I've only seen a few trailers for this game so it is hard to say whether it is racist. I would guess not seeing as it would be a very stuupid move on Capcom's part. I think what people are getting mixed up is racism and general stereotyping. It's probably a bit too close to the bone when you think of western view of Voodoo (but doesn't that originate in Haiti?)

As games are the newest form of art I think it does need to be careful as to how it adopts stereotypes (does anyone remember that black character from one of the late street fighter 2's who threw basketballs as his projectile attack) but I don't think RE5 is doing anything racist. Is COD4 racist?
