You guys are missing the point. How do you know that someones 7 might be a 5 in your world and vice versa. You don't. Read the words, watch the videos, play the game forgot about numbers they mean nothing.
The scores are there to give people a quick idea of how one person felt about the game compared to other games they have played. I mean its just impossible to compare games in different genres, on different systems, from different time periods, reviewed by different people by a single number. Read the words and the ideas that are presented in the review and if you are still unsure play the game for yourselves. That is the only way you will truly know how you feel about a game.
@tyaj Great post and why only losers feel the need to convince everyone their system is better then yours. They are just different. Options are good not bad.
This is kind of off topic but gaming is going in two very different directions. On one hand games like Skrim, Heavy Rain, Battfield, Dark Souls, Mass Effect and Portal show games may be better then they have ever been. On the other hand there is the push to make gaming main stream and dilute the whole experience. If companies see most of the money is in making casual gimick games then artistic games will suffer. The rest of the world needs to go back to thinking gaming is for geeks.
1. Dark Souls 2. Skyrim ( Until it breaks) 3. Arkham City 4. To The Moon 5. Mortal Kombat 6. L.A Noir 7. Witcher 2 8. Dragon Age 2 9. Catherine 10. War in the North ( Could have been for the co-op but the game is utterly broken) So, the award goes to Rage for its graphics, and fun and on point shooting.
