@phoenixvanguard: As long as they announce a new Metroid i'll be a happy camper. Even if it's not playable(ofc it won't be) or even if they don't have any in-game footage to show. All i want is just an announcement.....

@Richardthe3rd: You're welcome. That's what i'm here for.

Joking aside the point of my reply was not to get on your bad side. Just a reminder that if you post trollish comments(even if you don't really mean them) you should except trollish answers.

@Richardthe3rd: Breaking news! Human beings have different tastes. So it might come as a surprise to you, but tons of people will give a shit about MKX over the games you mentioned.

@overachiever89: It's actually 1 article since the second one is an update. And these are well placed news ,on the go, to inform ppl about such matters. These are actually informative which is what articles should be.

What don't pass as news imo are the "Kojima ate a burito yesterday and burned his tongue" or the "mentally unstable guy urinated on some video games at Walmart" ones.

@justinhaywald: I stand corrected. When i said "explain" articles i meant the review roundups which is not the case here since i confused it with another source. I apologize. Still my point remains for the multiple article reviews(i also forgot to mention the "ask the reviewer" videos). Don't get me wrong, this site is my No.1 source for gaming news and i really enjoy hanging around here, it's just that i find this particular phenomenon a bit over the top. And it doesn't really bother me since i skip most of them. I just wanted to express my personal opinion on the matter, that's all.

@justinhaywald: Valid point. Still don't you think that some things are a bit hyperbolic? I mean, review roundup? An article to explain why you gave a certain game a X amount of score? Isn't that what the actual review is for in the first place?

So now we have "Here's when you can read our review" articles, "where's our review ?" articles, "review in progress part 1, 2, 3" articles, the actual review and "review roundup" articles.

Is this review "phenomenon" becoming a bit ridiculous or is it just me?

@Thisguywhokills: While the PSN if flooded with adults which are mostly scientists, academics and generally educated people of the highest degree. Will some of you ever wake up from your eternal dreams?

Unless you're just trolling. Which is the most likely scenario.

@trayvian: The case with Sega was entirely different. Back then they already had 2 major competitors with Nintendo and the evergrowing PlayStation. And at 2000 another major competitor came in: MS with the Xbox. The market was oversaturated with 4(!) consoles trying to get a piece of the pie. So one had to bite it and that was Dreamcast. And the signs were already there with the poor sales of Saturn from the previous gen. So after two mediocre entries (sales wise) Sega decided to withdraw from the hardware market entirely.

Today there are only 2 major competitors, Sony and MS. Nintendo is a different situation since they aim(mostly) on a different target group. Even if it comes second in sales the Xbox still has a major market and a strong following to support it. So unless Nintendo step up with their game(the NX will be a crusial point in this) or another major competitor comes in(which doesn't seem to be the case at least in the forseeable future) i don't think the Xbox is going anywhere anytime soon. And frankly that's not a good scenario as far as customers are concerned. The more important being that competition is of the best interest in a certain market.

@itchyflop: I don't know what MS would gain. Probably more sales? It's just a speculation since such multibillion enterprises always have a purpose behind everything they're doing. It's not a bad thing, it's how things work. What we could gain as customers from that is what really matters.

As for the hate? I'm just as amazed as you. Just read the comments below and you'll get an idea.

P.S. Unless you're talking about "me" hating. In that case my post wasn't a hateful one, just a rant.
