Geez. Why not just use WEP 128-bit encryption codes on top of this Nintendo? This is awful.

This is a forum about the Systems we play, not the fanboys that play them. ****

What I find ironic is fanboys posting on a website called Gamespot in a forum called System Wars, debating day in and day out why console y is better than console z, and then they have the balls to call others nerds. That's irony. Face it people, if you are posting here, you are a nerd.

I didn't know that Sony and every developer making games for the PS3 suddenly stopped making games after the PSH announcement. Hrmm, weird.

[QUOTE="flamingschmoes2"]I dont know all the features yet, but can you download new TV shows and HD movies like on Xbox Live? Does HOME offer this service? Other than that, I never said Xbox Live was better. I am thoroughly impressed by HOME.

It will. SingStar will already offer music downloads, so the next logical step is movie downloads. Besides, Sony owns the rights to a lot of great movies, it would cost them nothing to offer this service -- they wouldn't have to pay royalties on their own movies.

Didn't Second Life already do this? I mean what is the point? I want to play games on a machine, not watch Sony content, live Sony content and Breathe Sony content. I would say that Sony should spend less time creating a hacked version of Second Life and more time making games. Isn't this the same reason that people badmouth the PSP becauseit focused more on UMD movies and less on the actual games.mclazyj
It's not a game... It's a network infrastructure -- think a 3D world of Xbox Live. The type of innovative networking that people have been asking for is delivered -- hell, overdeliver imo -- and people still complain. This won't stop Sony from making games.

SO MUCH FOR WALKING AROUND AIMLESSLY: IGN: Virtual PSP "Your Virtual PSP gives you access to all the navigation, features and options of Home." Our first taste of Home was a brief look at the 3D world that represents it. Bright and colorful, the environments look similar to a bare bones Grand Theft Auto title, only the surroundings were serene and centered on a garden and water motif. But before we could study the architecture any further, Phil keyed up the "Virtual PSP" component and we were on our way. Used as a quick navigational tool, the Virtual PSP allows users to hop between bookmarked spaces in their Home universe. Over the course of the entire 30-minute presentation, the PSP was only ever used to transition to new areas, so how much functionality this digital portable actually offers is still a mystery.

[QUOTE="InsaneBasura"][QUOTE="reilo"]Ontain
best movie evar! (Resident Evil: Extinction, it's gonna be ****)

why would i wanna watch a movie that takes up only 25% of my screen?

It's obvious that is a screen of you "entering" the theater. I'm quite positive that it will fill up the entire screen...

[QUOTE="3picuri3"][QUOTE="reilo"]Hah. The damage control in this thread is FASCINATING. I mean seriously people, if this had the name "Nintendo Home" or "Xbox Home," everyone would be praising the living ish out of this.

i'd be equally disappointed if it came out for any console. just happened to be Sony.

how is a Sims/Second Life like virtual 'social networking' platform where i have to pay for games and accessories and virtual space going to improve my gaming life?

i waste enough time at real social events, don't need to sit in a virtual mall full of spoiled children with PS3s pretending their Gangstas.

there's something to be said for a less public game networking platform.

Bet on it that you will be able to restrict your "Home" to your friends list. They even said in the trailer that you can set it to "invite only." That's how you can avoid them :) More pics: Trophy Room:
