Just like you can spend thousands of dollars on maxing out the potential of your PS3 with a 1080p HDTV and so forth, so can you spend thousands of dollars maxing out your PC, how hard is it for console sheep to understand this concept?
you know i could use my $1500 PC on a 12"CRT monitor the same way as i could play my PS3 on a 12" B&W TV from 1970.Sure you can, but why would you? Spending 600 bucks on a console just to play it on a 12' B&W TV? Just doesn't sound right to me, if you don't have the equipment to use it right, you probably shouldn't buy it at all, as with the PC, the same goes with the PS3

ok. lets recap. you were comparing, "spend(ing) thousands of dollars on maxing out the potential of your PS3 with a 1080p HDTV", and, "spend(ing) thousands of dollars maxing out your PC" to me at least it sounds like you're comparing buying a $1000 TV for PC and Buying a $500 graphics card. i want to talk about the hardware that does all the work, not what it displays on. so there is not PC that can run NEXT GEN GAMES for the same price as a PS3. Though there is probably a PC that can run better games than a PS3 for around 800 dollars, you just have to build it yourself. Anyways, my point is not that the PC is better than the PS3. Just that the PS3 is no where near inovative. Its just the same stuff that the Xbox360 is doing. holy buttholes i realize you can bulid a cheap PC AS IVE SAID 3 TIMES ON THIS BOARD. The PS3 can do everything the 360 can do, Tons of stuff the PC can do yet people still call it "just a gaming console. for what you get its well worth the price. now if the 360 could run an operating system, create a professional slideshow with music(great for anniversaries by the way. my parents loved what it did) hold hours of movies, music, games, play a next gen movie format, AND do it all in a professional manner, all for $400 id agree that the price deserves bashing. but it doesnt. so there you go. What a wasts. Hold hours of movies? Last I heard, Market Place has over 80 downloadable movies. It could also hold games, and music. It does play a next gen format HD-DVD anyone? It does that all as professionally as the PS3. It does even a better job, especially with Xbox Live. Oops the PS3 can't have video chat, 100 friends messaging, and cross in game invites. you people are driving me nuts. sure the 360 can play a hd format... for an additional $200. and i can put movies on my ps3, but i dont have to wait for them to be available on a "marketplace" btw with compression the PS3's stock 60gig HDD can hold much more that the 360's 20gig HDD. and if the PS3 doesnt have enough space for you you can get another hard drive for a reasonable price. if yo uwanna expand the 360's storage capacity you need to spend ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR TWENTY GIGABYTES!!! THAT IS MICROSOFT BENDING YOU OVER THE TABLE AND TELLING YOU TO BE QUIET WHILE IT ***** YOU UP THE ***!!! AND YOU CAN VIDEO CHAT WITH THE PS3! LINUX ANYONE!?!?!?
