You can't have Snake as the mascot for Playstation. There have been some Metal Gear games that have been released on Nintendo consoles and you can't have a mascot thats been with both Nintendo and Playstation. I'd like to see Sackboy as the mascot for PS but thats just me :).ratchet200

i think this term may be a lil abused and may not have a true definition but ive heard so many different definitions

1-someone who plays lots of video games

2-someone who plays only shooters

3-someone who plays lots of videogames and likes to visit video game sites and post things in their spare time

4-someone who plays only 'M' rated games

5-someone who plays only Massive Multiplayer games

i could go on n on but ive heard so many different definitions but i guess to me it means someone who enjoys playing tons of videogames in their spare time who plays mainly shooters,fighters,and action games.

i guess id call myself a hardcore gamer but i also enjoy playing other kinds of games as well to get away from all the killing every once and a while like LBP,Mario,etc.

what do u mean we cant enjoy the games we like right now? and u contradicted urself there are alot of games coming out which opens the door for a newcomer cuz its easy to be trendy and make a FPS. RPGs take time and they r coming out as well but IMO there havent been many great ones (fable 2 was great). idk if i want a new face in the industry as much as i want the next generation of consoles to be more balanced in variety of games less FPS, more adventure like games,more stradegy games,continue with rythm-based games like guitar hero and singstar and lips, and continue to make RPGs just make them better. Look man, I'll give you a challenge, just one. If you think you're argument has any merits, which it doesn't. I challenge you, to just take one month, let's say September and play and finish every console game that came out. Every PS2 game, Every 360 game, Every PS3 game and every Wii game, I'll give you a year to accomplish, this. Or better yet let's just take twenty-five AA/AAA XBOX 360 games that came out in 2008. FallOut 3, Dead Space, Fable 2, Devil May Cry IV, Grand Theft Auto IV, Soul Calibur IV, Madden 09, Mirror's Edge, Ninja Gaiden II, Lego:Indiana Jones, Lego:Batman, Rock Band 2, Prince of Persia, Banjo-Kazooie-Nuts and Bolts, Left 4 Dead, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Gears of War 2, Far Cry 2, Star Wars:The Force Unleashed, Call of Duty:World at War, Guitar Hero:Aerosmith, Unreal Tournament 3, Civiiization:Revolution, Command & Conquer:Red Alert 3, Tomb Raider:Underworld. Now, have you completed all of these games??? I just got a 360 last year, before that I had a DS, a PS2 and a Wii. I bought Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, SSBB, MK:Wii, Endless Ocean, SCIV, GTAIV, SW:The Force Unleashed, DMCIV, Fable 2 and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and finished six out of ten. However, I just got my 360, in September. I own The Orange Box, Burnout Revenge, Halo 3, PGR3, Fable 2, DMC 4, Assassin's Creed, Marvel:Ultimate Alliance, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Crackdown, Saint's Row, Gears of War, Condemned, Assassins Creed and one more I can't think of. You know how many games I have that I have finished??? Five out of fifteen, FIVE!! And I don't even own all the games from 08. Hell I'd just like to own Fallout 3, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Ninja Gaiden II and Banjo-Kazooie. Which will take a few months more to finish. Then we have the confirmed alone fifty-plus games in 2009 (check the GP buyer's guide) and SFIV comes out tommorow, RE5, comes out a week later. Plus we have DLC. i think he is mascot for Action and GORE for PS3

while Sackboy for Family Oriented or Creativity for PS3

and Ratchet or Clank will be for Comedy and weird storyline

Yeah, as two of you have already said, the series as a whole was quite a failure, as is the case with most EA games. But I liked the first one (Vendetta), it was decent. Fight For NY was horrible and ICON was even worse.

I wish EA would stop releasing so many bad games, and spend the time they'd be spending making all those crappy games making really good ones, like Burnout and Medal of Honor/Battlefield.

well, halo wasn't originally for the xbox, it started on the pc and microsoft bought it from them, you can still buy the games for pc.

Snake has been associated with playstation since metal gear solid 1 came out exclusivly for the playstation 1 and sold over 6 million copies, sony saw this as a chance to make more sales and put money into snake being the playstation's mascot.

solid snake always has and always will be the face of ps3. kratos is up there as one of ps's most recognised games. but it won't beat mgs.ZaroRansolo
