IMO you can get basically the same performance for A LOT cheaper. Im kind of new to this myself but Ill do my best to help out. Your monitor is gigantic! I have a 22" and it is perfect for games, and a third of the price. Most games that I know of wouldnt even be able to run at a resolution that big. I would suggest downgrading the monitor.

The CPU is alright I guess, but why not go for the E8500? It is basically the same performance but for more money.

The case you have is also a lot of money, mine cost me 85$ and suits me fine. :) Just make sure the case has 120mm fans (themore the better) and its big enough to fit all your parts comfortably with enough space tocapacitate good airflow.

Ram is good, I got 4GB OCZ 800mhz for around 100 however. Not sure if the extra mhz is worth that 90$

The more expereinced builders around here will be able to help you out more with the Graphics card/s and the Power consumption. If you have the money I would consider an SLI/ Crossfire system. Maybe 2x 4870/4850. Then your mobo would most likely have to be changed.

PS: also try and get a 'modular' PSU. It will help with clutter in your PC and allow better airflow.

I'm getting the monitor on personal experience, a friend has one and its great for games but your right theres nothing wrong with a 22.

the cpu is for overclocking it as much as i can with air and then getting fluid later so thats why i went for the higher dual.

the case is to be honest, for aesthetic purposes as much as anything lol but thats just my personal opinion i guess.

my plan for GPU atm is to get a 280, wait for the 4870x2 to come out watch the 280's price fall and then SLI

I C. Well You arent much of a noob then are you :P

lol well i mostly am its my first new comp in like 5/6 years so lol. thanks for the help tho.

first off thanks for the info.

any motherboard ideas? im planning on maybe going sli in the future.

my plan atm is to get a 280 and a few months after the X2 ati's come out and the 280's have dropped heaps get one more. nVidia is just a personal preference.

The case is just simply STUNNING, im looking at just getting a tuniq tower of my frined for cheap at fisrt, but then (when can afford) just moving up to a water CPU cooler and overclocking the E8600 to 4.5ish, ive seen higher but im sure ill find out the more i research.

what you think
