I mean, who wouldnt? Also, I'm curious.. Why did you get rid of your P67 Sabertooth?superclockedWanted to go Ivy and PCIE 3.0, Im just OCD like that :P
Hello guys,
I replaced my mobo from an Asus P67 Sabertooth to the MSI's Z77A-G45. I am trying to get my PC to boot into Windows with my Corsair SSD drive where my OS is installed (windows 7). The problem is that I am getting the message reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media . Keep in mind that I haven't made any changes to Bios settings, everything is factory default. I just want to get my Pc running WITHOUT HAVING TO FORMAT MY DRIVE This is a brand new setup btw, I just upgraded from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge. I finished the build yesterday but now I am having this problem. I tried my OEM Windows 7 disk to repair my drive, etc and nothing has worked. Please help!
[QUOTE="metacritical"]changing the mobo is pretty much unplug then plug it all back in again, though you will need to get some replacement thermal paste and some thermal paste remover for the CPU assuming you don't have any already of course.superclockedThere's no need for thermal paste remover. A big $1 bottle of isopropyl rubbing alcohol will work just fine. Spend the extra cash on higher quality paste instead... HAHA this is exatly what I did yesterday, I also used Qtips btw. Works every time. :D
[QUOTE="robertoenrique"]GTA IV loves quad cores dude. Dual cores is a no no on GTA IV. Thats the root of your problem right there. sune_Gem
Whoops, I didn't mean to type in X2. It's a X4. I got a quad core.
Then OC it, you shouldnt be having any trouble with your hardware and GTA IV. Try pushing it to 3.8ghz, its doable and stable.
THIS. Why go with a 2nd gen CPU when the 3rd Gen is already out. Also he`s getting a GTX 670 which has PCIe 3.0 already, migh as well enable it with the 3570K, dont you guys think?Get the core i5 3570k. The 2500k is no longer recommended by tomshardware. Best Cpu for the money
