Let me start this disccusion by telling you guys, my fellow gamspotters, how saddened I am becuase of what happened to the Diablo franchise. I feel like most us, as seen on various topics and forums, have received a huge blow to one of our main PC gaming pillars. The diablo series has always been a topic of discussion among pc gamers everywhere. I cant recall one conversation with a fellow Pc gamer where the game Diablo wasnt mentioned. I can go on and on about the flaws of Diablo 3, the the one and only thing that saddens me is how they turned the Diablo franchise into a pre WoW appetizer. I truly believe that blizzard made this game not thinking about Diablo but thinking on how to increase their WoW subscriptions. They took a brand that meant truly something to a community and destroyed it for their own gain. I am currenltly replaying Diablo 2, usually when my internet is giving me **** or tuesday mornings when D3 servers are under maintnance. It impresses me how Diablo 2 destroys D3 in every aspect. What happened to our once great Diablo atmosphere?? As a fellow gamespotter wrote,

'' It feels like they hired a bunch of sophomore liberal arts students to do the writing. It's forced, cliche, uninteresting, and does a mostly awful job of conveying any kind of hellish tone. You feel like you're playing through an action cartoon for 12 year olds rather than battling some kind of cunning, ancient darkness''

Now I know some of you are going to tell me to shut up, or to go write this on my blog or whatever. But for the old diablo fanbase I am sure that they are saddened with what happened to the Diablo series.

Generally it depends on the card, but I must admit, lately I'm getting slightly biased towards Nvidia.Few years ago,I was using HD 5850,while it was good card,I did experience some driver and game issues, nothing dealbreaking, but still annoying...

Then I switched to Nvidia with 580GTX,and NEVER had a single issue, everything worked perfectly, untill I killed my card about a month ago :(

Now I'm using 670GTX,and once again,I experienced no issues at all,not even that stutter bug some 600-series users are getting, everything works perfectly...

Only flaw I could mention about Nvidia is bad handling of PhysX middleware, intentionally gimping the CPUs by running outdated code on it,which is anti-consumer,plain and simple. Also, since it's exclusive to Nvidia,it means most devs won't bother properly implementing it in their games...

I have recently experienced this bug while playing Diablo 3. Any ideas whats causing this? Is it a hardware or driver issue?

This is another reason why I was considering the upgrade, this is a response I gave to a PM from a fellow gamespotter :) Heya Obiwan, I would sell it to you thing is that I live in Venezuela, and I can sell it here at roughly the same price of a new I7 3770K ! Yeap things are crazy here due to the fact that everything is imported and there isnt much supply or competitors on the market. The people that do sell pc hardware usually overprice the crap out everything due to inflation and a hard control of foreign currencies by the government. To give you and example, $1 = bolivares 8,9. Currently i7 2600K brand new sell here for bolivares 3,940.00 which equals to $ 442,69 USD and people do buy them! So thats why I upgrade fairly often because I can just sell my stuff here and put little or no money towards new Pc hardware (of course I buy all my stuff in the states every time I travel there)

[QUOTE="robertoenrique"][QUOTE="Truth_Hurts_U"] I don't have spamy sigs on. Just a nice clean look. If he is already OC'ed then hey would be better off spending cash on SLI.RazorGR

No way im going SLI. But can someone confirm if PCIE-3.0 is CPU dependent? That would suck balls.

It is CPU dependent but PCI-E 3.0 is pretty much irrelevant right now, and upgrading from what you have is just a big waste of money to be honest. But then again it's your money.

I know I know you guys are right. Its the damn hardware upgrade itch that I get every six months lol. Man keeping up to date is tough!

[QUOTE="04dcarraher"] Lol, he's at 4.5 ghz But TC upgrading to a i7 3770k will do squat and would be a pointless upgrade. Also its known that Ivy's dont overclock as well as sandy's because of the cheap heat spreader on the die.Truth_Hurts_U

Ok guys so I`ve been thinking about upgrading my current i7 2600k to the 3770K Ivy Bridge. Now, I know that my I7 is overkill for most games, thing is I`m kinda of a hardware whore  I recently bought a GTX 680 and I want new generation hardware to match my new GPU, including the mobo. My current board has PCI-E 2.0, I want to upgrade to 3.0. Same goes for the USB controllers. My question is, in order to get USB 3.0 do I have to upgradeto Ivy Bridge, what benefits if any will I get by upgrading from sandy bridge to ivy ? Also is PCI-Experss 3.0 support independent from the CPU, meaning can I keep my i7 2600k and just upgrade to a PCI-E 3.0 board? Thanks guys.

You have an i7 2700K@3.7GHz (3.5GHz stock), clock that processor. Mine sits 24/7 at 4.6GHz on stock voltage.

My GPU on stock with my CPU@4.6 gets P9652 so you're not too far off if you OC that card as well you'll smash your current score. I clocked my GPU on stock vcore and hit P10285.

I wouldn't say your card is underperforming, if you and I were to both run stock settings and bench at 2560x1600 your setup would outperform mine.

I fixed the issue. I tried putting the GTX 570 back in and it reported the correct PCI-E x16 then I took it out and put my GTX 680 back in and it was fixed. Tried Heaven 3.0 benchmark and got 53.4 fps.RyviusARC

Thats really high, I just ranit and averaged 47.6 FPS, is your CPU still at 4GHZ? Also are you running the card at stock? Nice that you got it fixed

I really must be THE ONLY PERSON that liked Crysis 2.... :(FelipeInside
I also enjoyed Crysis 2, I plan on replaying it with mt GTX 680 at max settings :D . Although I do have to admit that the game felt like an upgraded Halo. Crysis 1 was an awesome game, I enjoyed both the gameplay and of course the graphics. What annoys me is that Crytek is only thinking of the console crowd, the same thing happened with Far Cry. They forgot that Pc made them what they are today.

[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"]

umm alot of people here have tons of money probably more than Cfwin or you and don't spend ridiculous amounts of money on video cards....

Maybe they have uhm different priorities you know? And when did TC claim to be the richest guy on these boards? Your trolling in this thread has been quite ridiculous.

THIS. Its his money. Also, this is a PC Hardware Forum, its cool to see awesome setups being built by people who have the means to do so or not. Didnt they teach you in school that if you dont have anything nice to say to shut the f** up???
