@jerusaelem: We don't all get the same commercials. I got a Far Cry 5 commercial with this video.

@Bryjoered07: It's the high framerate where the PC really shines. And good framerate can make a game look almost like real life.

@Bryjoered07: Horizon Zero Dawn only looks good if you don't pan the camera, once you do, it becomes subpar 30fps blur vision.

Far Cry 5 running at 120fps on a powerful PC would blow Horizon Zero Dawn out of the water.

I don't think the average console gamer even realizes just how good PC graphics and "performance" can be.

@spartanx169x: You can regenerate after being shot in a Far Cry game. By the end of the game, you've probably absorbed close to a million bullets. That right there is more unrealistic than anything else in the game. So why are you okay with one aspect of the game being totally unrealistic, and not the other?

@millionsedge: The series has improved a lot since Far Cry 2.

@reddog1969: There's really no point of a day one purchase. You pay full price for a game full of bugs. Wait 1 or 2 years, and you will get the game of the year edition, with all the DLC, in the Wal-Mart bin for under $20. And if you're a PC gamer, you can get the game on steam for under $10.

I can't even keep up with all the games to play. So waiting one or two years has never been a problem for me. I'll probably be buying Far Cry 5, about the same time that Far Cry 6 comes out.

@olddadgamer: Wow! I never knew that some libraries have videogames. I think I'll have to check out my local library. Thanks for the heads up!

@pappafost: I just ignore the micro transactions. The base game is always good enough for me. But I'm a single player guy.

@joshrmeyer: The version with the highest framerate will be the best. Which will obviously be the PC version.

@bot101101: It will be like Far Cry 4, but only sightly better. "Gameplay wise" every Far Cry game is slightly better than the last. With the exception of Primal, which was very good, but shouldn't be compared to the rest of the Far Cry games, since it was so different.

The reason people like you & I are getting bored with Far Cry, is because we've played all the previous games. If you were some 16 year old kid, and you've never played a Far Cry game before, you would think Far Cry 5 is one of the greatest games ever made.
