This would have worked if Hayter hadn't originally done Naked Snake, but now... you're changing the character in the middle of the story. Liquid and Solidus both had different voices, so it would've been fine to have Big Boss have a different voice from the get-go. It would even have been alright jumping from MGS 3 to this one, claiming that time changed how he sounds and looks, but having had Peace Walker in between, it doesn't make much sense to change the character so drastically. Of course, maybe having Hayter do Snake for Ground Zeroes and Sutherland do him in Phantom Pain, you could explain the difference as changes caused by the long coma and the trauma his body endured from that. Kojima saying he wanted an actor closer to Snake's age in this doesn't make much sense. I know Hayter isn't in his late forties, but he's not exactly a young guy in his twenties either. I have faith Kojima will pull this off, but I think it's way too late in the game to change such a well established character like this.

This is kind of mixed news for me. I was really looking forward to Prey 2. I was a fan of the first, but it wound up being kind of a generic corridor shooter shortly into it. Granted it had very cool atmosphere and story, but if you stripped away the portal-esque gimmick (yes I know these guys did it first), it was very similar to Quake 4 and Doom 3 (which makes sense since they used the same game engine). I was really digging the new direction they were going in and was looking forward to exploring a Blade Runner-type alien city as a bounty hunter. So it's awesome that the game's still being made. However, the fact that it's almost certainly going to be on next-gen consoles now is very dissapointing. Who knows? This could be the game that finally wins me over for a PS4 though.

I was going to say, "I've had this on PS3 for over a year, how is this news?" Then they pointed out that Activision originally released it on PSN.

Although I will admit, the possiblity of consensual live footage of players in online tournements and the like would be pretty cool.

@zpluffy I don't think it'll record raw footage. More that it'll monitor the info it's programmed to obtain and just send the stats back to MS. I doubt we're going to start seeing internet footage of ourselves playing Halo 5, but they will know that people in Southern California smiled more and got a higher heartrate compared to people in the midwest. They'll also know that more people noticed the advertisement in the upper-right corner than the lower-right. Things like that. If that's all it is it's completely harmless, but it still makes me uncofortable to think that as I'm playing a game, or watching a show, someone at MS is getting live data streamed telling them whether I'm enjoying myself or not.

@zpluffy @CaveManCobb Not every computer has a webcam though and nobody's flat out said they were spying on you through your pc. Although moxys1 posted a link you should read. Hackers are spying on people through their webcams

@CaveManCobb Well, I just plan on not buying one, since my 360 sits here collecting dust unless I play Minecraft. As for what they're "spying" on us for? If you bothered to actually read anything I've written or the article this is about, you would know. I will reiterate. Microsoft stated flat out at their XBOne unveiling that the Kinect will monitor facial expressions, heartrates, eye movement and vocals of the user while he or she is using the system. They stated that this data would be used for marketing purposes both by Microsoft and their partners. So...while you are playing Halo, watching Netflix or watching a BluRay, the Kinect will randomly be recording your every action and sending this information directly to Microsoft. I don't know what your definition of "spying" is, but in the literal definition, that pretty much nails it. So, maybe I'm just paranoid, but I don't like M$ "spying" on me and will pass on this console. Of course I intended to pass even before this news.

@zpluffy @roosteraxe1 @CaveManCobb True. Of course if MS gave a crap, they might include a built-in lens cap so we don't have to deface their spybot. It's a simple solution that, sadly, probably won't be released until the XBOne slim model comes out. Y'know, the model that won't start on fire or whatever fatal flaw the first series systems are likely to have.

@Darthexodus Now just think, someone at their head office will have to go over the data to find out what people are doing before getting it on and figure out a way to use that info for marketing.
