new avatar. ( sigh )

i kind of got bored of my old superman one. i wanted to convert a movie file into a gif as my new avatar but i just gave up. i might get a friend to help me with it when he helps me put in with some software later this week. he is like a compuer genuis. wish i knew a lot about computers. oh, well. what do you think of my temporary? just finished my homework. it took six hours but i got done. if i had believed everyone when they told me that college was going to be this difficult, i would have just got two jobs instead. at least i would be getting enough sleep. ruben lb signing off... ( yawn )

stargate sg-1 and stargate atlantis

both stargate shows aired their summer finales today. stargate sg-1 is starting to "age" a little bit in my opinion but i still think it is great show and the writers are doing a great job. stargate atlantis has exceeded my expections and has a lot of potential. can not wait for new episodes for both shows. any thoughts about tonight's episodes?

shellshock, so close yet so far away...

i am going to go buy shellshock: nam '67 either tomorrow or friday. i have a lot of material to study for tests i have to take on friday and monday so i will probably not get a chance to play it this weekend. i guess i will start playing it as soon as i get out of school on monday. if anyone has bought it or played it already, let me know what to expect. i have semi high hopes for this game.

i won the lottery!

i won the lottery! ( sort of ) one of my peeps knew of a place where they sell tinted shotgun glasses for outdoor use ( i first saw them on the third season of stargate sg-1 and thought they were so cool looking ), so we both go but it turns out that they did not have them. so he stops for gas and he always buys a scratch off lotto ticket convinced that he will when a large cash prize one day. he convinces me to buy on called break the bank where you have to have three matching cash amounts to win that amount or if get a symbol of a stack of bills, you automatically win the amount underneath the symbol. i scratched and saw the symbol with forty dollars underneath! so i won forty dollars! i want to get a game but i guess i should save it for a rainy day.

once when i was younger i won two hundred dollars in a scratch off but since my dad bought the ticket and i was not old enough to cash it, he let me keep eighty dollars. i felt cheated but i was in sixth grade and eighty dollars was a big deal, so i did not mind.

has anyone else every won more than one or two dollars in a scratch off?

about me

i saw other people putting this in their journals so i thought i would copy them and do the same for myself.
