Doubtful they put COD on gamepass at launch, when they have to take Sony lunch money due to the deal signed last year. They can make hundreds of millions of 70 bucks sales and then put COD with all maps on gamepass a few years later.

@zerojuice: Why would they close on gamepass that is their window storefront, not to mention that the money invested on gamepass has a return cycle, people arent cancelling their gamepass subs, only adding more yearly. Only thing that cost the company a billion at least was the red circle of death back in the day.

Frankly i never even heard of tango studios till now, that should tell you they were nobodies, and despite the closure of the studios the games produced by them will live on gamepass for future generations to play on. And you dont think the studios and MS had meetings about how to turn this around, they had no playing cards to be kept in the game.

We just gonna have to wait till james gunn reveal his take on WW with his own cast, but seeing on how they are developing woman of tomorrow for super girl, am 50-50 on his take. Not to mention how superman does once released.

@Naylord: Think of the acquisitions as those scratch lottery tickets, you are going to get tons of blanks but in all those tickets there is the chance of minors prizes to big payouts.

You say spends millions to keep a studio that is underperforming, thats called take on debt, something that corporations avoid like lepers.

Lets say they do decide to keep one studio and that they are losing a million a month keeping open, so a year its 12 million on debt, but the studio needs another year to release something, 24 million in debt, so whatever game they are cooking needs to produce at least 30 million in revenue just to merit to keep it open, and the studio needs to have another winner cooked up as soon as they release or they risk layoffs or closure if they dont have something to keep funding going.
