@Renato1984 I never said she said "AAA titles should go F2P". I said she said SOME AAA, which is what she's suggesting, in order to balance the budget to focus on the charge-for-box games.
And if we're just talking sadness in a genuine disappointment sense, then sure, "only" 10 AAA games a year would be sad (though maybe not b/c AAA games tend to be uninnovative and uninspired in recent years). If you mean sad as in dumb/pathetic, then I disagree. I mean, how many GENUINE AAA games have been released per year in the past 3 years? The decline of the industry has been speculated for a while due to a variety of reasons.
But I guess I'm not a core gamer, so what do i know?
@RooksGambit I know big companies are evil and we're all sheeple and you know it all and stuff. But no one's forcing anyone to spend $200 in microtransactions on a game, dude.
Can someone explain to me why there's so much venom towards a video game manager saying that some AAA titles should go F2P to benefit a company's budget and gamers themselves? ...Besides the whole "game company X has no soul" speel.
@Apastron it's actually true for a variety of reasons. the whole "fast paced" life style and high tech has conditioned a lot of ppl to want as much as anything they can get, regardless of quality.
