Wow, I think the OP hit it right on. I'm a year younger than you, but I also remember playing those old Mario games on the N64, or Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, games like that for PS1. I could play for HOURS without noticing how much time went by. I remember passing the controller around with friends trying to beat certain levels, in fact it was this way for the PS2 as well. Once this generation hit, it seems like things really changed. Don't get me wrong, games are great and the technology has obviously much improved, but there's just something that isn't the same. Who knows? It could be cause we're older now and the "excitement factor" just isn't the same, I really have no idea. But yeah, i'm feeling the same way as the OP.

I would definitely still buy it. Rockstar would figure out a way to make the game awesome no matter where it takes place.
I've actually only sat down and played 3 Final Fantasy games which were: 7, 8, and 10. I played a litte bit of X-2, but not enough to be able to rate it. But, out of the FF's I have played it would go like this: 7, 10, 8
Alright, thanks. I think I can get it for around 20 bucks or so at the store. So, really your only gripe with the game was difficulty? There was nothing else that made you want to steer away from the game? Sorry that i'm asking to be so specific..but I read about the game and it sounds so good, but then when you read what people say it's mostly negative.I recently got the game this year on e-bay. I think it came out in 08'. Regardless I really enjoyed it. The only complaint would be how hard it got on mission 13. But you can lower the difficulty level on every mission so you can play easy to get through it.

You're right, I could do that. Like I mentioned, I did do that. But, I wanted to hear from more people of what they thought. Also, I heard mostly negative things about the game and not too many positive things. I was hoping there would be some people on here who actually ENJOYED the game and could maybe tell me why they liked playing it.
Not trying to sound like an @$$, but if your answer to my post is, "you could just read reviews", there was really no point in posting. I had already said I read reviews and I think it's pretty obvious that I could read reviews. So in the end, I think you were just trying to be sarcastic and not helpful, so thanks. (Sarcastic)
Hopefully i'm posting in the right spot. If not, please move to the appropriate thread. Anyway, the first game came out about a year or two ago, I believe? The only thing that stopped me from purchasing is the crummy reviews it recieved. Can anyone tell me what the exact problems of this game was? I'm a gamer that can play games like Grand Theft Auto III and still have tons of fun with it. So, if Kane and Lynch recieved such poor reviews because of its gameplay or something like that, then I wouldn't mind that so much and may go and buy it. The second game looks really good, so I want to play it. But, if it's a continuation of the first story, i'd like to play the first game before I get into the second game. Thanks.
I got my first PS3on Christmas morningof 07 or 08 (Whichever the first year it came out was). My first game for it was Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Rating? Of course, 10/10. Still one of my favorites, can't believe I haven't finished Uncharted 2 yet, life gets in the way sometimes, y'know?
So, recently i've been thinking about buying a PSP. I've been doing my comparisons and overall i'd go with the 3000 over the GO for a number of different reasons. Anyway, how are the games for the PSP? What I mean is, do all the games have the same features as a game for the playstation 3 would? For example, you can buy MLB 10: The Show for both systems. I've heard that that the PSP version is a bit dumbed down from the PS3 version and some features are not included. Now, being that it's a sports game, this doesn't matter to me much. But, if I were playing a game that has an single player mode with a main story, I'd want to have the same exact features as the PS3 version. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks, this will help me out a lot when I make my final decision to buy a PSP or not..
I'm guessing that majority of people are going to say Call of Duty, but I was just wondering if there are any other military-related games out there that people may enjoy playing more the CoD. I beat CoD already and sold it back, but I want a military game to play again. Should I re-buy CoD or are there other ones out there that you guys can reccommend? thanks!
Yeah, that's kind of what I was expecting to hear. Being that FF is an RPG and from my own experience with previous FF games, i'd think that this game would take a long time to beat it would probably be worth spending 60 bucks on. I just wasn't sure if Heavy Rain was a long game either, or if it was a game I could probably get through quick enough where 60 bucks wasn't worth spending on it.
