@Atzenkiller: Yeah they were running out of ideas for stretch goals at the end. They were never saying that it would cost $1 million for each stretch goal. It's just meant to be a symbolic perk at each million.

@jerms82: I took a couple hours looking up all the definitions of the words I used in that reply. I'm glad someone noticed:D

@almatha: That's because of the netcode. It's locking everyone at around 30fps max in the persistent universe. 3.0 is supposed to implement brand new netcode, that should largely solve this issue.

@slappy54: They're not switching engines, they're absorbing changes from a different fork of Cryengine. And it's already finished.

Wow...so this article is lying through omission.

They are NOT switching engines. Lumberyard is a CryEngine Fork, which is what CIG is already using. They are just merging the modifications they made into Star Citizen's current engine to take advantage of their cloud based infrastructure. And in fact, it's already done.

You should probably work on that whole "journalism" thing.

@danielduncan: Star Marine was part of the plan since day one. It was just called the "fps module". And there is no separate store.

But hey, feel free to keep lying.
