I'd imagine we'll get some kind of offshoot. If the Godfather and Resident Evil 4 are available, with Manhunt 2 on the way, I hardly think GTA is too hardcore for Nintendo anymore.
I do agree we need more depth, but if they gave you a house and all that stuff, it would pretty much kill the Animal Crossing franchise. Basically I just want more options for clothes and faces and whatnot. And then when Animal Crossing comes out I want to be able to use my Mii.

Why does everyone keep saying the Check Mii Out channel? If an already crappy, previously announced channel qualifies as a surprise, then Nintendo and the rest of the world have a VERY different definition of the word surprise.
I was thumbing through my GameInformer and saw this odd looking controller thing that somehow emulates the texture and feel of stuff like ice or sandpaper. I remember back when the Wii controls were still a big secret, this thing got patented and everyone was speculating this was the Wii controller. Pretty funny in retrospect. Does anyone have one of these things? How does it work?
Well, the Metroid series has fewer installments than any other major Nintendo franchise. Plus, aside from Mario Sports and Mario Party games, nintendo generally tries to only have 1 or 2 installments from each franchise per console. I read an interview somewhere where they said they feel it keeps the concept fresh, which I agree with.
To the guy who used XBLA as an example with Streets of Rage 2, if you figure in the additional cost of what he was paying to use XBL that day, it's probably fairly close in price to getting it from the Virtual Console which comes with no monthly subscription fee.
