Sounds good to me. I'd give it an 8/10 simply because it's no JauntyCorn :P

I pretty much focus on a single game until I get bored with it or another game catches my attention (read-my boyfriend reminds me that I haven't played the new game yet)
That only works if the code hasn't been activated yet. You get the beta access through the disk, but the game includes a one-time code to make it work. Pre-orders, as has been posted previously, are as little as $5 and you can cancel it afterward if you decide you don''t like the game after playing the beta. The only two ways are to buy BulletStorm Epic ED and get on beta a week early or Pre Order GoW3. I see copys OF BSED on ebay right now, thats where i'll be getting mine.

Backwards compatability, while convenient, can be tricky to add to a system, takes up space and adds to the price. I did have one of the original 60GB PS3's when they came out. I got the bundle from Sams that included an extra controller and the bluetooth remote. I'd like to have the BC option back, but it was buggy in the old systems. Playing my PS2 games was a pain because it would glitch or freeze after only about 10 minutes of playing. If they bring it back in the next gen system, they need to have all the bugs worked out and have it working properly. As it is, they aren't worried about putting it back in the slimsbecause they are still selling PS2 systems. You can't get them new in most places anymore, but they still see a little profit from the refurb systems and until that disappears they will not bring back BC.
I have no problem with it seeing as my TV, along with most of the TVs that are being sold now, has 3 A/V inputs and a couple component inputs. I can easily have both Sony systems and my 360 plugged in. Though even with a single A/V jack, the A/V cord for all three Playstation systems is essentially the same and interchangable. Being too lazy to switch a single cable is about as bad as being too lazy to either replace the batteries or just press the button on the TV when your remote dies. Or being too lazy to plug in the controller when the battery is low and just waiting until it dies and turning off the game. Not intended to be an insult, but it does demonstrate the point of how silly that is, doesn't it?
This. I've been working through the story, which is interesting in itself, and I still have Echo mode and Anarchy mode to conquer. Bulletstorm is what I play when I get a chance to actually sit down.Bulletstorm is pretty addictive as well.

This game is obviously not for everyone. It's basically a game where you can just murder everything in a multitude of ways while getting points for being creative. Yes, you can come up with your own creative kills and not get points for it, but the skill list can be manipulated into having multiple skills used at once. For instance, you thump an enemy and leash him toward you (yank) then wrap a flail around him and kick him at a group of other enemies (homie missile) and detonate him on impact (gang bang). You could even add a grenage gag to it if you manage to get the flail around the enemy's head. Do it all while drunk on nom juice and you get an intoxicated. Then if you happen to pull this off while blinded by a flair you get a blind fire on top of all the others. The skills stack otherwise you'd never get some of the point totals that are showing up. The trick is knowing how to maximize the number you stack. I've had this game since release and I still play it. The MP problem mostly stems from people going after personal kills or just shooting. The whole point of Anarchy is team kills which just flys right over a majority of the gaming population's collective heads. Its attraction is its unique ideas. No, it's not the first to focus on team play, but it doesn't reward personal kills the way other games do. It doesn't need to have a MP mode that copy cats every other goddamn FPS out there. If you want a versus mode with just all out team vs team, play another game. Bulletstorm was meant to be played with friends. Think Halo not COD.
I like this game. I haven't stepped into the Anarchy mode yet, but that's because I'm still working on the campaign simply because I lack the free time to play for hours on end. I would suggest that anyone questioning whether they will enjoy it try out the demo first. It will give you a feel for the game play and as helpful as reviews are, your own opinion means more than someone who may not have the same taste in games as you do.
Seriously, if you can get your hands on a transfer cable, that's the way to go to make this whole process easy and seamless. That's its purpose. I've done it a couple of times and it works great. The only thing I had to worry about was transferring my licenses which isn't difficult at all.DJ_MagnetoThis is what we did when we got a slim. We were able to keep my profile and saves on the old 360 and move my boyfriend's data to the slim. I got for him for Christmas.
[QUOTE="selene_fangz"]Any particular type of game you're looking for here? Personally, I think Borderlands has a good amount of replay value and you can do multiplayer with it. You've got a free roam FPS with a bunch of side missions and four DLCs. So far, all the games we have at home other than that are mostly kept for online play (Killzone 3, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Dead Space 2, etc.) or don't have a multiplayer option. For the PS3, I'm mostly going to be playing exclusive titles on it. I have an 360, so I'll be more inclined to play my multiplayer games on there because I have a lot of good friends on there I've been playing with for years. The God of War series is a good one, but the replay value is questionable depending on your tastes. I've had Heavenly Sword since it came out shortly after the console was released. InFamous is fun and you have two skill sets available to at least keep interest for a second playthrough and InFamous 2 is supposed to be coming out this fall, if I'm not mistaken. The unfortunate part is Sony doesn't get a lot of big exclusives. I've played a few of their fairly unknowns, but most are entirely deserving of the $10 new price tag. My last attempt with that was Fairytale Fights. A good game if you just want a simple stick-flicking hack-n-slash with buckets of blood that you can slide/paint the ground with, but it gets old fast.[QUOTE="Peanutbutterz"]I'm buying a PS3 tomorrow, and I was wondering what would be some games to play first on the system? Preferably, something with good replay value and has multiplayer features.Peanutbutterz
DMC 4. It was a release title and I still have the limited edition. It has some replay value, but mostly it's good if you just want to hit things.Hey guys I have $50 credit with amazon right now.. what games/game should i get? I have all cods, bfbc2, demon souls, god of wars, gt5, red dead assasins creeds, uncharteds, and I think that is it. What would you recommend as far as older games I might have missed out on, co-op games (local) or any other?
