I played Hellgate London and thought it was assy. Haven't played The Witcher but everyone is telling me to buy it. I guess I'd go with Witcher.

This entire thread is a joke but I graced it with my presence. Be grateful.

Duke Nukem Forever? I was an embryo when that game was announced, and I fought WW1.

What's the game going to be based on? The Atari E.T. engine?

I can't understand why anyone would get into WOW. Would you watch a movie that never ended or a read a book that never stopped? Conclusions in entertainment are a good thing, people. An endless time-sink is good for company profits.

[QUOTE="shade1978x"]

Oh, here we go. Another debate where the word 'liberal' is thrown around like it's an insult. I'll bet there's a message forum somewhere that started off discussing Meditteranean floral arrangements that's degenerated into this nonsense. Isn't our country supposed to stand for freedom? And I don't mean the freedom that some groups would like to copyright so that only they can use it. I mean REAL freedom, like the freedom to say stuff we don't agree with. What are we turning into? Venezuela? Pakistan?

Damn you, Gears of War, for making this happen!

Phaedrus_Galt

Funny - you don't agree with someone using the word 'liberal' as an insult (which it is) yet you pine for the freedom to let people say stuff you don't agree with.

Suck it, self-pwner.

I never said I didn't agree with it, jack-monkey. I just find it very predictable and humorous when people do. Now, proceed to make a predictably pithy comeback, which I know you'll do.

Fire up the gas chambers! It's time to get rid of all of these commie-pinko-terrorist-liberal-hippie-treehugging-peacemongers! War is peace, slavery is freedom!

SacrificiaLamb

Damn you, sarcasm!

[QUOTE="Xcelerate"][QUOTE="Phaedrus_Galt"][QUOTE="OoSuperMarioO"][QUOTE="Phaedrus_Galt"][QUOTE="OoSuperMarioO"][QUOTE="Phaedrus_Galt"]

[QUOTE="OoSuperMarioO"]MAC is the standard for doing art on ie. animation, adobe photoshop ect. Macs are very very popular.Phaedrus_Galt

If by very, very popular you mean have a 5% market share. Meaning the other platforms have a 95% market share. Meaning PCs have almost 20-fold greater popularity.

Or you could have meant that Macs have more popular commercials, and are used by cooler (less nerdy) people.

From my experience from going to art schools I've only seen macs. Even to working with companies Macs seem to be the standard.

Yes... ART SCHOOL. And how many people go to art school? And WHAT KIND of people go to art school?

Very few people go to art school, and most (not all) are yuppie noobs who buy over-prived ipods because they impress people when better, CHEAPER alternatives are abundant.

Macs may be THE best computer for art school, but that's a niche market and not representative of much else.

Just not gonna say anymore. Your right very few people go to art school.

I will say that it's cool you're in art school. I wish I could paint or write music. I am an observer of art, not a producer, unfortunately.

Games can be considered a form of art. Playable and fun art.

Damn right they are. A mighty form of art, at that!

But Roger Ebert said that games would never be an actual art form. And, really, when has Ebert ever been wrong?
