[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]

[QUOTE="PC360Wii"] Gears 3 beta was a demo... this BF3 beta is an old build designed for server testing... since you know, BC2 had population problems to a large extent on release, they didnt prepare for it enough.... not to mention gears of war is a VERY simplistic game in comparison... its nowhere near as versitile, demanding or large scale. It does play like battlefield... though faster, the gunplay is excellent .... t he glitchs are a pain the the ass.... but thats temporary. Console gamers dont know what beta's are... do they? your so use to finished games touted as betas.PC360Wii

*laughs hard* gears of war 3 is VERY simplistic in comparison... *laughs* but yes Please a very old build where the map has so many obvious geometry issues they couldn't ever be fixed in less then 4 weeks and thats just geometry issues...Its obvious bf3 beta is just a demo they threw together if you want to test even server issues you usea far more stable buildwhich have your most efficient coding you don't test old builds that are plagued with crashes, and such bad geometry issues entire games will be long drawn out casue people will end up quiting cause they cant get out of the ground.

Played 4 hours now... havnt falled through the floor once.

]You're obviously lying. This bug exists even on the PC version.

It's actually true since instead of releasing patches to modify weapons; they create all new games that fix the problems the past games had. They easily could've fixed the camping in MW2 by changing around the damage in some weapons, but instead they abandon it after release and move on to overpriced DLC or a new game. At least Treyarch modified their weapons a bit, but they didn't do much since nerfing snipers doesn't fix anything.

Again with this crap....All CODs are far different. In fact, BF3 feels exactly like previous BFs except the new engine. MW3 will have differently: New campaign 16 mp maps new co-op survival mode new killstreaks new customization new weapons new attachments new features like interacting with differnt clans new game modes like kill confirm3d. Basically, what new game modes is BF3 is adding? Also MW3 has far more changes because it has 16 maps and BF3 has 9 to start with. I think I just destroyed this argument, :D

Battlefield 3 feels exactly like past Battlefield games? Have you even played the beta? because it feels nothing like Bad Company 2. Also, do you really believe that you're going to get 16 maps in MW3? I'm sure it'll be around 10 and many of them will be sold for DLC. Also, Operation Metro (one of the smallest maps in BF3) is equial to about 3-4 CoD maps, and Caspian Border is equal to 6-7 CoD maps. You can't compare a game with miniature maps and arcadey gameplay to a large-scale vehicle focused warfare game. Battlefield 3 also adds in co-op which is something that hasn't been in the series before, I think that's a lot more of an improvement than an improved spec-ops mode. Battlefield 3 also has new weapons (in fact, BF3 has a lot more new weapons than MW3. There are a lot of weapons that are brought back such as the ACR 6.8, AK47, and SCAR-L in MW3), new attachments (more so than MW3 since MW3 doesn't have tactical flashlight, as many scopes as BF3, Bipod, Target pointer, Flechette rounds, smoke launchers, etc. etc.), and new features (again, more so than MW3 since BF3 has the platoon system, Battlelog, prone, and tactical gameplay). Not only that, but BF3 also sports a new UI, much improved animation, improved graphics, etc. Yeah, I think I just destroyed this argument ;). MW3 maps are also static, it's one set environment while in BF3 you go from an outside park to a subway and then into a city. MW3 is leagues behind BF3 :D

The weapons list of Bf3 seems to be copy and paste from BC2. And you're being fooled. MW3 will have 16 maps in the full game. Also you're saying you can fit 3-4 COD maps into BF3 maps. You do BF3 maps have identical buildings, no detail on anything, and its like they put no effort in the game. BTW, MW3 will have more attachments. ALso can you answer this question, WHAT NEW GAME MODE IS BF3 ADDING? All I see is the same Rush and conquest. You fail this argument.

[QUOTE="Ravensmash"][QUOTE="shahilsyed"][QUOTE="XVision84"] No, I'm not joking. BF3 DOES not feel like a battlefield game. As I said buddy, those old battlefield days you had with 1942 and BF2 are over. Bf3 is a game, feels too like MOH and COD. BF3 does infact cater to casuals. Just look at the snipers on BF3, when I get a kill, it feels so un-earned because BF3 hardly requires any skill or bullet drop.

I think you're confusing that with evolution of a genre. I am so glad that it doesn't feel like BF2 or 1942, because those games are dated now (yes, they are).

What?

Don't listen to whoever is claiming that BF3 on ps3/xbox 360 are looking bad, because it's just elitism bullcrap. I've played on both consoles, and it's looking great (a little better on the ps3) and better than any other modern fps on consoles. If people are stupid enough to believe that developers must match modern PC quality on 6 year old hardware, well, there's nothing to say.

Bf3 beta on consoles feels like playing Bodycount.

[QUOTE="shahilsyed"]It's a beta, of one Rush map. And you're judging the entire final game based on it.

One map of a rush mode can give a HUGE taste of the actual retail game. Unless they totally change the structure of the game which'll take a long time.

Okay, I give up, you two are hopeless. It seems you're ignoring what everyone is telling you, so there's no point trying to correct you any longer. Just go play CoD (and lol at DICE making BF3 to cater to casuals).

They're making big gameplay changes that IMO are for the better, of course there are going to be people that don't like it. When you make a sequel; you try new things, they're taking what they learned from MoH and implementing it into BF3. That's what a great developer does (not just rehashing the same formula from past Battlefield games). Battlefield 3 takes lots of skill to perform well in combat, master your class, control recoil, and work in a team effectively. There is no bullet drop because Operation Metro isn't exactly a huge map, and the bullet doesn't drop when there's an enemy 15 feet in front of you. In the BC2 beta, the bullet dropped when you were on one side of the map, and the other person was much farther away. Like I said, you believe strongly in your hate against BF3, so no matter what I say; you're going to disagree with me and say BF3 caters to casuals or is awful.

No, there are no gameplay differences. And Lol at BF3 taking skill. So camping in the subway with RPK takes skill? And I shot a dude with SVD twice on the leg, about 100 miles away and I killed him with 2 shots? WTF, how does that take skill?

It would broken, glitchy and laggy on the first few days like many other major betas are at times so why does everyone hate on the Battlefield 3 beta?

ultramega9
In fact, COD games never have a open beta, mainly because it doesnt need one. Games developers like DICE release betas for Battlefield because they know their games are full of glitches and bugs so gamers could find out and get it sorted out. IW know their games will never glitches and bugs so there's not a real point for a beta.

No, there is some bugs, but battlefield's bugs are pretty serious.

Yes, you're right. BF have major bugs which really require a beta to get it sorted out. COD have minor bugs which can be patched with no problem.

MW3 has been in beta for two years now with MW2.

But seriously, since their don't change very much there's pretty much no real need for an open beta. Except for stress testing but really, it's P2P for the most part.

XVision84

WTF is that nonsense? How has MW3 been in a beta for two years? Are you drunk or you just point blank trolling? I'm confused.

I like both CoD and Battlefield games and the BF3 beta is just awful and instead of 100% getting the game now i'm like 50-50

Dawq902
Dont get the game, you're just getting fooled by BF fanboys here. MW3 will perform millions times better. Honestly since you're a wii owner, buy Conduit 2. It's a more cheerful games than BF3.
