I don't like dealing with online nonsense. I preferred the card system so that I could go to the store and buy a card with cash. Then input the code for the points. I hate banks and use cash about 90% of the time.
Make me forget about next gen? I'm not even looking into next gen because everything about this generation was about graphics as far as the publishers were concerned. Interactive movies, not games. How about we get this generation of gaming correct first?
A numbing effect on teens? Teens are apathetic about a lot of stuff to begin with. They believe the importance of life revolves around having the hottest **** toy in the school.
@JRLennis I think gaming will simply be reborn. These big companies will go out of business because of their marketing tactics and views on gaming as a whole. While the indie games will begin to rise and show promise. Cheap costs for attractive and fun games. I think they will be the next wave.
No fucking wonder we aren't getting good games when this kind of crap goes around. They cater to simpletons who don't play games all that often and are impressed by the shiny graphics.
I'm not worried about it. Mainly because I'm sick of paying for monthly online other than my internet, and the game I wanted that I couldn't get on it was Left 4 Dead. Didn't like Halo or Gears of War. Microsoft can suck it.
The dlcs are not worth it at all too me. The primary reason being is...once those servers go offline (that WE have to pay for now btw) the dlc will be completely inaccessible because there are no bots or anything. So eventually you'll have purchased over $100 for a campaign.
