"It allows someone to take a game that maybe they played for 1,000 hours and play it for 2,000 hours," What? No. The only dlc I played extensively was on black ops 1 and that was for the zombie maps. Actually, Borderlands 1 dlc had me doing the same. But thats it. The majority of dlc is passable. Plus, if you ever have a save file and choose to delete the dlc to make room on your hd, it corrupts your save. So dlc...yeah...not too interested.
@the_bi99man I really could not have said it better myself. DS1 was pretty good imo. DS2...eh...The story was getting a bit convoluted and more shooty. DS3 I have not tried just out of sheer disinterest and the dlc garbage that EA and most gaming companies pull now.
It's not just the game industry that is like this. But rather a large amount of professions where they demand an unreal amount from you. Often times one would think the hours should be illegal but people turn a blind eye to it. I feel for these guys.
A joke. This game was created to be cross platform. Well the consoles bog it down. Keep in mind this is coming from a CONSOLE gamer as well. Crysis 1 original for the pc was the best Crysis mainly cause it was very open ended. I'm not expecting much from this Crysis. C2 was a disappointment with it's linear level paths. "Hundreds of ways?" No. Just no. Yeah, if you mean at one point the wind might be blowing a different direction or something. But practically there are always just a few ways. Under ten. They are just trying to give us a decent reason to buy it.
The problem is when we see all this and listen to what they say as we have in the past, we the consumer, have realized that the majority of what they say are really reaching. Stretching their point with technicalities etc. So are you going to tell me that there are HUNDREDS of different guns? Or even stretch THAT by saying they all have different and unique functions? Oh but the suit. Yes.... well...the thing is. Stealth, or gung ho. That's pretty much it as far as practicality goes. You snipe. You get in close with a shotgun or AR. That is where it ends.
The most creative I've ever been with a first person game was Skyrim and that was confusing guys into fighting each other and then raising the loser as a zombie. That was about as far as I could put it. Other than that though it was just the standard variation. Mage, Thief, or Warrior.
So don't try and pull this "hundreds of ways to go through a level" crap. We aren't idiots.
@yoboss1989 He probably did and realized it was just a stupid game. It is going the way of CoD. It's like how RE became action horror. That's exactly what this is. Everything now is just shooters, shooters, and more shooters.
Looks boring as hell. The environments look nice and all. But I still think a competent yet creative weapon creation system has yet to be built. I don't trust EA or the developers in this game enough to buy this. Bought DS1 and was somewhat impressed at first. But quickly realized it did not deserve the title "Survival horror." Then DS2 rolls around and I didn't even finish it. In fact I only played it part way through because someone else bought it for me. Visceral fail.
What this says to me is "I just can't be bothered to pay attention to what my child is doing ho hum. God, I'm an awesome parent. Wow, these pants make me look fat!"
