I HATED the finale for DA2. It felt rushed, it felt badly written, and, worst of all, it felt like a complete waste of two good characters, as one went completely against his character, and the other can be summed up as 'plot mechanic insanity' which completely destroyed her character for the sake of a boss fight.
@wexorian i'd rather have a full cast of completely new characters, each with their own story's and each developing on their own.
I love Alistair and morrigan, hell all of the cast from DA:O(Loghain being my absolute favourite villain in a video game so far).
But i think the series needs a complete makeover at this point, especially with the damage that DA2 has inflicted on the series. Dragging back old favourites, feels too much like appeasing the fanboys/girls, instead of trying to write a good full story that can stand on it's own.
@sonicare i'm trying to be as hopeful i can for DA3, and the fact they seem to be taking their time with this one, is a good sign to start with (you have to remember, DA2 had like a year and a half development).
@501stormtrooper the only thing that redeemed it, slightly, was the better combat it had over DA:O. But then i can start picking out flaws in DA2 again, by saying the combat is now incredibly shallow, since it replaces strategic movement/placement etc, with tap x to win.
