The most dumbest comments i ever read are from gamers.

The fan-boys sound stupid arguing over which company is the best, which game do this and which game do that.

Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony are all friends, they have one thing is common to make money.

And it's sad to see " so call gamer" whine like 2 year old and stop thinking developers hold loyalty to a console, they put their game on the system they think they will make from.

no... not at all. i would call my friends all sorts of offensive names if they asked me if i wanted to do that with them. what happened to video games being what you did you get away from people? or something to do with your friends when you're drinking? LBP to me seems like viva pinata for the ps3... except for some reason it's super hyped. i didn't think people were actually going to buy this game, but now i see on this poll is smoking the other great looking games... and now i'm totally confused.

basic lesson in HD standards:

1920 X 1080 Progressive scan pixels is 1080p. your laptop is running at 1200 X 800 (although i'm going to assume you mean 1280 X 800) so you have a total resolution of 1,024,000 pixels, compare to 2,073,600 pixels in a 1080p pictures. the equivalent of 1080p?? i guess that would be 1920X 1200, but it's a different aspect ratio, but it's close enough.

the majority of games on the ps3 and xbox 360 originally are run in 720p (which is 1280 X 720 pixels, basically the equivalent of your laptop).

and yes, increasing the res does make a game look better. although upconverting isn't perfect, it does make the picture look sharper. there is a processor trying to make the picture more detailed. so no, textures don't increase, but there is a noticeable difference, trust me.
