If the xbox didn't have the finanical backing of microsoft the xbox would have died way before they thought of the 360. It would be a memory like the dreamcast, some great games like Halo, Fable etc would have been classics. Too bad it's still alive, now there being overhyped, and overrated.
in that order i'm planning on getting sonic, super mario bros and paper mario(when it comes out) and super smash bros (when it comes out also if it does)
Nintendo needs to make more games like Metroid, Super Mario Galaxy, and Twilight Princess, some of my casual friends already want something a little more challenging, they better have some in development and coming out in 2008 or 2009, because non gamers will turn casual and casual will turn to actual gamers.
They just need to show me SSBB, and any Zelda footage and that will almost be the best, I think Sony will steal the show, but if nintendo introduces online or a high profile game, they could easily steal the show. Not many people expect much from them, and if you introduce something that is above those very low expectations, you win.
It will never live up to the hype produced on game spot, unless they wear chunky suits (which could be easier to program for as making boxy edges is easier to do then curved edges), and they also have to see through yellowish glass which in my opinion would be impossible to see clearly. It will live up to the hype everywhere else though, too many Halo fans here that can't except change, or something different coming along. Look at the jump between halo 1 and halo 2, not much change. Killzone 1 and Killzone 2 will have a jump.
17, I usually play console games way more, some times I wonder why I even got a DS at launch, I forgot I had a DS until I opened my safe. Then again I would have bought it anyways cause of Zelda, and coughanimalcrossingcough.
