i don't think it matters who's got the number 1 seeds because all of these so called "top" teams are severly overated and extremely beatable.  I'd be shocked if even one number 1 seed makes it to the final four this year.  This is going to be one of those years where it won't be who everyone thinks.  Someone like Maryland, Georgetown or maybe texas a&m could easily get further than any of the number 1's.  I never thought i'd say it but college basketball needs teams like Duke and Uconn to be top teams, the way baseball needs the yanks and sox to be top teams.  It just brings more excitement in my opinion.   As a fan, this year has just sucked to me.  All these teams that are supposed to be great are all overrated.

[QUOTE="helium_flash"]Maybe because he's cocky (he HAS to be the star; can't cooperate w/ Shaq).... and oh yea, he raped a girl.ticalmc2k2

How is he cocky?  I love how no one ever answers that, or gives an example of how he's cocky.  He didn't have to be the star, Jerry Buss and Mitch Kupchak wanted him to be the star.  Shaq couldn't handle that, so he demanded a trade.  Shaq, the self-proclaimed "General", "Big Aristotle", is the most egotistical person in sports after TO, and is retarded on top of it.

Shaq in Greece during the Olympics:
Reporter: "So did you visit the Parthenon while you were in Greece?"
Shaq: "No we didn't go to any clubs."

when you are 20 years old you should pay respect to the legends of the game that have been doing it before you. It's just proper respect. You don't wave away picks from karl malone in all star games, you don't launch back to back 3 point air balls in the playoffs against Utah with the game on the line 5 seconds into the position, and most importantly you don't put yourself above the team. NOW, needless to say this appears to be the Kobe of old and not now. He seems like he has matured and grown up into a team player who isn't worried so much about "this is my team not anyone elses". But the problem is that he burned so many bridges with his conduct those first 5+ years that some people just don't want to give him a chance. Then you add to that the blame casted his way for the dismantlement of a potential great dynasty, it was just too much. Name me another superstar in ANY SPORT that would rather worry about individual feuds than team accomplishments, and that's EXACTLY WHAT HE DID. They didn't have to be best friends to play w/ each other, but to bring it to the point of breaking up potentially one of the best teams in history is rediculous. Jordan didn't hang out w/ Rodman, but they did their business on the floor and went on the their way. I don't think much of the rape thing because i know all he's guilty of was infadelity, which happens all the time, not rape. Oh yeah he did throw shaq under the bus and say that he "pays off women" he sleeps with. Come to think of it Kobe is just a BLEEP!!

[QUOTE="Espurs117"]Yeah cuz he is the only biased one  in there....Jaws anyone?Ngamer05

They're all biased to an extent. Salisbury is still hooked with the Panthers, Ditka always chooses "da Bears", Jaws always going with Philly, and even TJ from time to time will pick his former team, the Broncos.

It can't be cause he's too bias, cause Ditka was as bad if not worse than irvin. And to another level, neither of them are as bad as Lou Holtz and Mark May on college football. Holtz would pick Notre Dame to win against the 95 Cornhuskers, while Mark May would pick against them against a team like Monmouth, and worst of all, actually have the nerve to rationalize it by saying something stupid like "they would play the spread offense and there would be too much movement for the Notre Dame unathletic defense to keep up. I expect Monmouth to win by 2 touchdowns". Come on now, those two are horrible and they are still there. There has to be more behind the Irvin thing than just a "supposed" bias

[QUOTE="killax98"]bucs let up less points that season then them, modern day athletes own older ones, and they had to deal with a horrid offense. accept it. the 02 bucs had the best nfl defense ever, and is severly underrated
marchmadness1012

that would make the 01 Ravens the best defense ever then.:S

RAVENS 01 Best D EVER!!!!!!!!

durant has the potential to be like a mcgrady, which is saying a lot. But in no way should the number 1 pick be anyone besides oden, you only get 7 footers like this once every 5-10 years. Other than that, good draft class this year and nextsilky_smooth8
Exactly. Durant can be a great PERIMETER player like a McGrady or someone of that sort, but Oden can be the next shaq. The bottom line is that if you have to take one person you start with a big man. I hate him, but Kobe is a better player than shaq (i'm talking lakers days not now cause shaq is done), but if you need a foundation for a young team you HAVE TO TAKE THE BIG MAN. Kobe might have been better but Shaq was more important, and if Oden is as good as the hype you can't pass him up.

It can't be a player still in college.  It violates NCAA rules.  So Hart, who wouldn't be on there anyway cause to be bluntly honest, isn't good enough, can't be on there because he is still in school.  If i were to put money on it i would say Quinn just because of his noteriety as a player and where he plays.  If Ohio St would have won, it more than likely would have been Smith or Ginn
